In partnership with Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal National Shrine Parish and the Rotary Club of Muntinlupa Central, Miraculous Medal School participated in the St. Vincent De Paul Annual Charity Projects, last September 14, 2024. This annual event embodies the core teachings of St. Vincent de Paul, including charity, humility, service to the poor, love, community, and collaboration. St. Vincent dedicated his life to serving the poor, the sick, and the marginalized, and through this event, we aim to inspire our youth to embrace these values.
Several youth-focused activities were conducted simultaneously including:
1. Environment - Bokashi Ball Making
2. Super Pinoy Kid Caravan
a. Education through the Super Pinoy Kid comic book
b. Oral health awareness
c. Proper nutrition education
3. Drugs and Cybercrime Awareness
4. Medical Mission / Free Laboratory Diagnostics
5. Disaster Risk Management - Mobile Learning Hub
Our school has been given the honor of leading the Bokashi Ball Making activity, which involves a Japanese technology using effective microorganisms to restore and maintain the health of polluted or stagnant water bodies, such as Laguna Lake and its connecting rivers. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, as it educates our youth on practical environmental solutions for our immediate community, particularly benefitting nearby barangays like Sucat, Buli, and Taguig.
