This new era of St Vincent is great! Vocals have some of the Daddy’s Home qualities, but the focus is rock rather than soul and glam. And of course reminds me of the pre Masseduction releases

I think Dave Grohl is the drummer I most instntly recognize only by hearing. He likes to assassinate a drum...with loads of style! He realy belongs to the drum, not to the guitar or the mic...yeah he does everything good, but he is just amazing in the drums.

Once I'm in you can't get 'rid of me'. Many commentators on the 'Broken man' video made comparisons as to what 'era' or homage this upcoming LP release would be. Another caricature (-Daddy's home. We all have our least favorite albums by an Artist we love)? Nine Inch nails, 90's Indie? PJ Harvey ("lite", as one person remarked)? "You're not rid of me?", like a 'flea' that buried itself deep. It has to be a homage, a very similar bass rift to that which features in Red Hot Chilli peppers "Give it away". We are witnessing her post-modern take on 90's Indie primarily me thinks. Happy to speculate. Annie's craft. It is all about the intrigue she creates. Anybody else consumed with intrigue? :)
