Εμπνευσμένο από την κληρονομιά του Ανδρέας Ζέππος, ορισμένοι αλιείς και λάτρεις ξύλινων σκαφών ανησυχούν όλο και περισσότερο από την αδικαιολόγητη καταστροφή της ιστορίας τους και έχουν δεσμευθεί για τη διατήρηση και συνέχιση παραγωγική χρήση αυτών των σκαφών.

Inspired by the legacy of Andreas Zeppos some fishermen and lovers of wooden boats are becoming increasingly concerned by the wanton destruction of their history and are committed to the preservation and continued productive use of such vessels.
This short video captures four weeks working in the spring of 2013, and shows the considerable efforts of Costas - a fisherman from Sigri, Lesvos - on the extensive and time-consuming work required for the exemplary renovation, restoration and maintenance of his own boat: Saint Nicholas.

(We met in june, this year in SIGRI) About ΕΝΑΛΕΙΑ Enaleia is a social enterprise that aims to make each fisherman fish in a more efficient and eco-friendly way. It is an award-winning youth initiative, aiming to attract more people into the fishing sector, educating them and the same time, creating conditions for sustainable fishing. Our students receive all the necessary knowledge and skills by attending a full specialized and tailor-made training program. The program combines distance learning, lectures, workshops and on-the-field training by professional fishermen.
