@@dravendefeo8443 Huge fan of Chris' too. His screaming is awesome but for me it's the more subtle things--like the timbre of his voice and the vocal creaking he does during a lot of quieter passages... Good head bobbing. Good groove. Good energy. Andy Kubiszewski, the drummer, was the frontman of 80's synthpop set "The Exotic Birds", and brought a solid pop sensibility to this band. Classically trained on percussion, he also toured with Prick and The The (as well as guested on The Downward Spiral by NIN), before joining Stabbing Westward after David Suycott's departure in 1995.

Considering the majority of SW's lyrics were about failed relationships or relationships in general, it would seem not much has changed then has it? Besides, you're really comparing SW with modern pop radio hits and not the current rock music genre that SW would be in they were still putting out albums. That's a false equivalency.
@smokinjoe46847 жыл бұрын

Christopher Takakura okaaay they do. I can't believe what alternative has turned into it makes me want to puke and cry at the same time. Kids today are too soft. They have no idea what music with real feeling behind it is. That's because everybody nowadays is offended when somebody sneezes. It's like grow a fucking backbone and learn that real life is not about sunshine unicorns and rainbows. Grow the fuck up. But on a serious note Stabbing Westward was in my opinion one of the best bands of Our Generation. Fuck the haters who try to say that they're a Nine Inch Nails rip off.

The song explains mental illness very well. Like people who are abusers and feel like they own their partners. I went through that for 9 months with a man who thought that I was his property and thought that he couldn't survive without me. Finally I had to leave the relationship and literally flea for my life because I'm sure he would have killed me. It was only a matter of time. sykotik333 It's arguable depending on one's preference. Less grain and/or screams doesn't mean it has any less impact, but on the subject of synths, you're in luck.
