Stabilization ON or OFF when using a tripod

Very interesting Clive. I quite often forget to turn IS off when using a tripod and feel annoyed at myself for doing so. Now I have seen your vlog I will leave it on. Thanks for the info.

I've never believed that tripods were stable enough to cause the stabilization system to introduce movement. Perhaps if you mounted the camera and lens in a vise on a reinforced concrete base... I never turn stabilization off. Thanks for demonstrating this.

How about IBIS?

With my Sony cameras I never turn off IBIS or lens IS and have never had any bad images.
