So much more real. I think since EE went HD it has felt a bit off. The grainy look adds to the realism I think. And like you said the acting was way better. A lot more natural, you can have a bad storyline but if it’s acted well then you didn’t mind so much. Now days it’s very rare for a good scene

For those saying Jean is horrible, if you're a real fan you'll know that Jean has bipolar and she isn't taking her medication. Anyone with a memory will remember how cruel Stacy has been to Martin and her own children when she stops taking her medication and has an 'episode'. This is what bipolar can do without medication and left untreated. Its like they're a different person

This Jean was so sharp, severe, and cynical. I feel like this was a great interpretation of who the actress thought the character should be before the writers decided to soften her. A shame really.
