I like so mush that after almost one years of reactions you are already enjoying melodic death metal. I know that Alissa is a popular first step into this more extreme subgenre that you recently started making reaction. She was also for me with her former band The Agonist. I wasn't myself really into metal with harsh vocals before "Thank You Pain". I guess because of her range & pronunciation; it was the best introduction to those types of vocals. And since growling & metal scream became a passion for me, even if i need the lyrics to be able to understand what it is about. And yes, Loomis have a special touch, always mixing aggressive riffs with beautiful melodies. So many great songs form both era (Angela Grossow/Alissa W.Gluz) of Arch Enemy.

You got to listen to Arch Enemy's new song Liars and Thieves. Other songs which are great are House Of Mirrors, War Eternal, The Race, In The Eye Of The Storm.

I don't listen to Arch Enemy that much but I have to say this is one of the best break down ever in my opinion. I've been obsessed with it since this song has been released. I realize it's quite simple but so effective and powerful . Gives me so much motivation during a weight training or cross-training session :)

I am still so glad you are continuing your Arch Enemy journey Stacey... As I told you previously, I fell in love with Arch Enemy when I saw them perform on the big stage at Wacken 2018. Even though I didn't know them at all before. I'm happy for you because you still have a lot of exceptional titles to discover from them 🤘🤘🤘 Bye'n'cha

Arch Enemy tour the US all the time Stacey, so you should get a chance to see them live. I have, and they're excellent. Alyssa has lots of non-musical content on KZbin, where she talks about many of the things that are important to her. Well worth watching, she's a fascinating person. Cheers from South Australia.

Long time fan of Arch Enemy. Have you listened to any of their earlier work with Angela Gossow? She's unbelievable. Take a look at _We Will Rise_ to see her. Angela is German and was with the band until they were a well established force on the scene. Allyssa was chosen to replace Angela when she chose to step down. There was a lot of competition to find someone to fill her shoes. Proud to claim Allyssa as Canadian, by the way.

Alissa has been with AE since 2014. I cannot believe it's already been ten years already! Holy crap! Her first song with them is called 'War Eternal' (that whole album is World-Class and they really deserve FAR more attention for all their skill) and as FREAKING AWESOME as they have done ever since, that song/ MV is still my favorite that she has done. It's the guitars...I was mind-blown. I hope you like that one as much as I do! :)

Thank you for the video 👍🏻 'The World Is Yours' is one of their best songs imo Yes, the instrumentals are amazing and so powerful I'm actually going to watch them in concert tomorrow in Malmö, Sweden, along with In Flames and Soilwork Super excited 🤘🏻💙 Cheers from Denmark

I was impressed by this, and I appreciate you doing songs like this as it is making me appreciate the growl singers more and more. Amazing instrumentals in this song. Really enjoyed your reaction!

Alissas beauty, aligned to her sort of vulnerable, fragile kind of vibe, with her unique look just gives her this amazing sex appeal that makes it impossible for anyone to be left indiferent to her. When she opens her mouth its almost impossible for ones mind not to wonder "is this comming from her!?". Having seen AE live i can tell you they are amazing live, and Alissa is just as dominant on stage as on video, if not more... The reason you dont have many clear vocals is beacause for the longest time AE resisted inclueding it on teir music out of cunsearn for the fans reaction, they only recently started inclueding clears and you can even notice they are doing it in a sort of baby steps kind of way, again not due to Alissa having the talend or ablity to do it, cause she can do anything as you said but rather to make it easier for the fans to aceept that transition...
@renejensen77992 ай бұрын
Alissa is without a doubt, the best women in metal, to use harsh vocals and growls, and im not gonna lie, it helps she is pretty to..lol This song is proberly my favorite Arch Enemy song, its somehow Melodic and Harsh at same time, and as you i really like the instrumentals as well.

I expect you will realy enjoy her collab with Anita Strraus on Wolf you feed. 3 weeks ago i was at the Arch Enemy show and she is even more impressive live. A tiny blueheared pixie. On of my friends, she spend the first half hour looking at Alissa with her jaw on the ground. "THAT sound comes from that tiny girl???" and sincerly questioning her own sexuality looking at her. (not even joking)

Hi Stacey, I know you also love Nightwish's symphonic metal. And you dropped the word that you like when Marko has a singing part. Now that he left Nightwish, have you ever checked his solo stuff? This year he released a duet with Tarja called 'Left on Mars'. And fitting to Halloween he brought shortly 'Frankenstein's Wife'.

If you like music that makes you feel powerful and unstoppable, then I can definitely recommend a song for you. It's by Mick Gordon from DOOM Eternal, and the song is called The Only Thing They Fear is You. You need to check out Arch Enemy with the previous singer, Angela Gossow. Please check out their song Nemesis (2005). Also you should check out the current lead singer (Alissa White-Gluz) in her previous band, she has beautiful clean vocals that she does not use in Arch Enemy. Check out The Agonist - "Thank You Pain (OFFICAL VIDEO)" and "Swan Lake Op.20".

I got the title, "the world is yours", but that's about it, along with the whisper, granted. Other than that, i'm sorry Stacey, I couldn't get the lyrics at all. I have to say though, good riddance to the 'disclaimer' :-), with respect, by now it was starting to look a bit lame. If you like it, that's all that counts and there's enough music out there to cater for all tastes. A song suggestion that you might catch/or not, Gary Moore, Midnight Blues at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1990. . . . You never know 👍

Great reaction and great song. Love Alissa too, unfortunately besides her debut with the band (War Eternal), the other too albums aren't as strong as their early stuff with Angela, in my opinion of course. Their new song Liars and Thieves is really solid though, very old school, highly recommend to check it out
