Can you make a video about their switch.. I'm confused about the "normally close, normally open" features of the magura brakes thank you

Yo, you trying to hook up Magura brakes to a Bafang system by any chance?
@Stackedbmx8 ай бұрын
It is just saying it will control the brake light and motor cut off.
@ballandpaddle8 ай бұрын
@@Stackedbmx So I guess it does work, it's just that the Magura connector is 2-pin (red) and the Bafang is 3-pin (yellow). But you can still plug them into each other and it'll work

I have a INMOTION RS. What’s the exact order number to these brakes, front and rear
I am really cofused on which one of the Magura ebike brakes I should buy for my current ebike controller. Should I buy the MT4e closer NO or the MT5e Opener NO. I did a test to try to figure it out. But I am still confused on which to get. When I unplugged the sensor from my current brake levers. I am still able to throttle the ebike whike pressing the brake levers. Also the rear brake lights do not come on. Knowing this, which one of the Magura models should I purchase?

What bike or controller do you have?

2 questions 1. The red in part don’t fit on the onyx rcr is there a connector I can use or I ave to solder 2. Do the mt5e needs to be bleed Thx
@Slowron215 Жыл бұрын
yes they do need to be bleed
@Stackedbmx8 ай бұрын
They come bled. If you need to shorten the cable you might have to bleed them. If the connectors don’t fit you can splice the together or remove the connector tab. I’ll post a video soon

I have seen a video showing how you can connect mt5e to a Bafang mid by removing the alignment tab and turning the plug. Does this work?
@Stackedbmx8 ай бұрын
I haven’t personally done it but I seen a video with it and it makes sense. I will try it out and let you know my results
@embraceuncertainty71278 ай бұрын
@@Stackedbmx Yes, let me know. I still have not connected the brakes to the controller. I sometimes use the brakes when the power is engaged under certain tricky conditions.

Can the red brake connector be cut if you dont have a automatic brake systmem or the correct model for it to fit
@Stackedbmx8 ай бұрын
Yes. The electric cable is just the motor cutoff. You can also cut it and slice it to your existing motor cut-off

is this price oke for a hope 203 rotor ? 75.99 € euro ?

2mm thickness rotor ? or 1,8 thickness, i can not put my mt5estop on storm hc 203, because they are 2 mm thickness in manual it says max 1.8 mm thickness, and magura does not sell 1.8 rotors, stupid them i spend many money for nothing and still need a new 1.8mm thick rotor. anybody know a 203. 1.8 mm thickness rotor ? not to expensive ?

thanks for the video, need some help. i got the mt5e for my super73 rx mojave, but when i plug the brake light, they work inverse, - not braking light break on - when i breaking light break off - do you know how to adjust that?
@Stackedbmx8 ай бұрын
Not sure why it is doing that. I will research it and get back to you

Planning to get this for my son's Super73 Miami e-bike. I saw that it only needs about 1400mm of cable, but with 2200mm, it is lot of extra cable - in this case, do we need to cut out the excess cable? Also bleeding the breaks is a big task. How did you bleed, do you have any recommendation for a bleed kit - son (high-school) wants this brand badly. I am not convinced though - as I prefer pre-bled kits. Would be great if you can share your experience or comments, thanks.

Stock brakes were very bad, and just within 1 month they lost suction. I replaced with another temporary 2-piston brand from Amazon, and same experience. I am almost the verge of just going to plain old cable based 4-piston disc brakes, but my son wouldn't allow :-)
