Just subscribed, Just got home yesterday from my nc to eastonmade (1700 mi drive round-trip) to pickup the 12-22. Spoke with Andrew Easton for about 20 min. Anyways, good luck on the knee surgery. Take care of yourself because you will be busy after your recovery. You have the tools already to grow your firewood business. May upgrade to the 22-28 in a few yrs

I’m at week 4 post-op and am recovering well as this is my second knee replacement having already had my left knee replaced in October 2022. The last three videos I had in queue for editing while recliner bound. Tomorrow I will be going out to move some more dirt before the rain starts and hopefully get some video. I spoke with Andrew at the Paul Bunyan show in Ohio a few months back. Really genuine and nice guy. Makes great products. I am very impressed with the power of my Eastonmade 22-28. Thanks for comment and follow.

I have a 22-28 on order. Had the same thoughts on the 12-22 and 37d. Good luck on the knee.

I'm coming up on week 4 post-op and am doing great. Have to do some tax data entry, then I can get back at it. Thanks for the comment. You won’t regret getting that 22-28. It is amazing.

Knee is now 5 weeks post op and doing well. Getting around 50% without a cane. Still need to work on the flex and extension of the knee as it is still swollen and stiff. That usually takes about 3 months if it stays the same as my left knee that I had replaced in October 2022. Thanks for the comment and sub.

Good luck on your knee surgery. My dad had both his done at the same time, he said it was the best thing he ever did. Nice splits 👍

I had my left knee replaced October ‘22. I knew immediately it was a good decision. I even asked my doctor if I could get both done at the same time prior to the first surgery. I didn’t know at the time that a bilateral replacement is an awful lot of trauma on the body and can be very dangerous as well as rehab is way harder. After going through it the first time, I’m glad I didn’t because you rely a LOT on that other knee just to get around. My left knee is about 97% back to normal but with zero pain. I’ve dealt with swollen, stiff and very painful knees for the past 30 years, tricompartmental osteoarthritis. It was definitely the correct choice and I would encourage anyone on the fence to get it done at an earlier age so that they can avoid using the cement on old bones. The younger you are the better since they don’t use cement and use a press fit with a porous surface that the bone can grow into. Thanks for the comment and follow.

My father was a stubborn dairy farmer and scheduled his surgery for the time between the end of spring planting and fall harvest. Was a little rough going at first but he continued farming after that for another 25 years after that. Also had bilateral carpol tunnel surgery 2 years later using the same time scheduling. Tuff man from a harder generation 🤷

I’d say so. In these times we need more tuff men like him.

Hey man, just subscribed, good luck on the knee surgery. Thats kinda funny, i also have had a fair share of knee problems, I've started my firewood business 3 years ago with a Split-Fire 4490 and im now waiting to go pick up my new 22-28 with the attached conveyor later on this year. I cant wait! The split fire is a good machine but damn its so freaking slow. . Cheers buddy

I am now 4 weeks post-op and getting around fine with a cane. Just today was able to do some dirt work with my tractor. Shot a KZbin short about it on my channel. You will not be disappointed with your 22-28. It is an absolute beast. I’ll be selling that splitfire and most likely be getting an Ultra for resplits later down the road. Thanks for the comment and sub. 👍🏻

@@fabricating_firewoodbrother, I feel ya on the knee replacement. I’m looking to get mine done soon as well. Did you end up getting the Ultra? I got the Super Split HD as my main splitter to start off with. It does well producing heating and bundle wood. I think it would be the best for resplits. It’s fast and efficient. I run it at half throttle. Hope you get back on top of your health journey.

I started with a Splitfire 3403 connected to my tractor quick hitch. It was neither efficient or powerful enough. It also racked unnecessary hours on my Kubota tractor. I got the Eastonmade 22-28. It is well worth the money.
