Tbch, I feel he increased the pitch through editing because Patty's cover is probably two steps higher than the actual song and that might also explain why his voice is so high. It's all a matter of preference. I mean if you compare this to bands like Green Day, Billy Joe Armstrong has his Les Paul really low down. Then other guitarists including me have it a bit higher. My mind when blank trying to thing of examples. Hope this helps
