If I may, I would like to add one. Your employee or others are constantly bringing the ghost of the past manager. And then to gain respect you have to fight again phantasm. The other option is to say "I am not (the past manager) and I do things differently".

That certainly is a good point. I've had it both ways, having to prove myself after a really popular manager has left, and also taking over after someone really sucked. Both are strange situations that need careful attention and empathy towards the team members.

A lot. It never goes away. I've learned to make impostor syndrome more of a friend though. If I'm getting it it means I'm learning and progressing more into the subject area and never getting too comfortable. So I think it can be a good sign.

I just got a promotion about a month ago I do really connect with are employees however how do I survive having horrbile Managers? At times I feel like they stop me from doing a task along side my team just for them to waste time on giving 1000 none sense meetings. In the other hand once I start gathering people for a game or to get to know everyone I get interrupted... I feel Like Quiting it's so draining!!!
