Welcome to the Letterman KZbin Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

Letterman was my era of laughter. He resonated with so many demographics and age groups. He was and will always be THAT GUY!!! Thank you sir for bending my young brain into what it is today. Where am I???

During the Writers Strike in the Fall of ‘07/Winter ‘08, I dropped by the picket line one rainy day and got into a conversation with Matt. Of course, all I wanted to talk about was Hypnosis Night and its followup a few shows later, when Dave said the magic trigger word (“Sleep!”) and Biff would suddenly stumble toward one of the guest chairs and immediately nod off. Soon after, a camera found Matt sitting elsewhere in the building, likewise dead to the world. (I think that can be seen on some other channel.)

And all these "staff favorite moments" are only scratching the surface of the weird & wacky things Dave would do. Like the time he did a show where the image slowly rotated 360 degrees until it was right side up again, or the live monkey cam, or the time he did a whole episode at the airport, or the time he did a whole episode in his house watching a repeat of his own show on TV...etc, etc.
