I’m Running just shy off the 300bhp next step on a stage 2 so next step will be racing clutch forged rods and pistons Audi R8 break brakes and TTS suspension I’m looking for 500+BHP

Can I run stock rods at 350bhp on one of these?

The real question is how much torque will you be running, what set up, how will it be tuned? Torque bends rods. I have seen people run over 300hp on stock rods by capping torque but you also have to remember these engines aren old now.

nice... I'm thinking of going stage 2 in my standard 225 TT . I'm presuming this would feel noticeable in performance? am I right in thinking conrods are a weak spot if pushing above 300 bhp? so stage 2 is reliable without internal work?

Stage 1 and 2 power is a noticeable improvement over stock. We tend to stop around 300ft/lb / 410Nm as torque is what will bend your rods, not horsepower. You can make enough torque to bend rods at stage 2, one of the reasons we only offer dyno tuning on the 1.8T platform now.

did this have the stock plastic map sensor pipe?

I honestly can’t remember off hand but we have seen 1.8T make good power with that pipe in place

Why dyno FWD on a AWD vehicle?

These are Haldex not permanent AWD. Haldex are electronically controlled and engage when you lose traction, remove power and they will not engage. It is extremely common to dyno Haldex vehicles this way 😊
