Solid race there mate. I died a death up the pinch that second time. Been a good couple of races this last few weeks! The power numbers are massive mate - I hadn't quite comprehended the raw Wattage numbers that you're putting out.

I can’t say I like these last few weeks but they have been so fun. Yeah I have to say my power numbers are pretty good. But as I lose weight they are slowly coming down some.

Yeah every hill is a fight for me. So I love the downhills. Thanks

Superb effort, "just" needed to keep the power on down the hill

If I can time the second lap right I will try that. Thanks 🙏🏾 for the suggestion

Hi! :-) I would use a draft power up to save energy in a group or for tactical advantage - ideally this would be near the end when everyone is pushing on before the sprint giving me a speed boost into my sprint. Other uses would be staying in touch with heavier riders on a descent (I'm 70kg) - Because you've got so much power and more weight than most the draft power up is probably less use to you as you go fast on the downhills and flat anyways. I would even use a draft PU on a shallow climb to help me stay in contact, but I'm not sure that will help you much.

I will try the suggestion of using the draft PU on small hills. Thanks

Nice recon! I think if you know you lose guys on the hill get a gap in front of them before the hill so that you finish roughly ahead at top of hill. Then you can slot in at the rear and save a lot of watts in the draft so that when it comes to the last down hill you are right with them and your 70kpm will leave them all way behind.

I have been thinking about that. I’m going to try that Friday morning when I race again. Thanks for the comment.
