Awesome video dude , i found another goodie xD . When you leave the ship with the Type 6 shuttle at shuttle bay 2 you are able to seperate the saucer and watching it . There is an additional console . When you leave the helm seat in space you see it :-) its a huge red button called "Remote Saucer Seperation" ;-)

is anyone else disappointed by how small the arboretum actually is? it's not Stage 9s fault it's just the set they built for the show but i had always pictured it like a huge 2 or 3 deck room with full size trees and stuff like that especially given the size of the windows on the outside of the hull.

The arboretum in the show is one of the smaller arboretums in the Enterprise. There is a massive arboretum that spans a few decks near the middle front of the saucer section but obviously due to budgeting they couldn't show it in the series.

@@Deathmonkey7 Here's an interesting tidbit I discovered with a lot of searching. According to Rick Sternbach himself on BBS forums, the large Arboretum sits under the main shuttlebay behind those sets of big bluish-hue windows. Apparently, this was an accidental omission in the official blueprints (which I do have a copy of and drove myself crazy searching for the arboretum on before turning to the internet and discovering all this). Rick also stated on these forums a few years back that an updated version of the plans was in the works and that it would include the arboretum this time. He even said he had a picture to share, but the link is broken now; perhaps taken down for copyright reasons. Sadly, though much work was apparently done on the project, it was eventually cancelled and I can't find any leaked images from it anywhere. Using these tidbits from Rick and the blueprints, I've worked in a 3-deck arboretum (decks 5, 6, & 7) in that location on a galaxy-class ship for an RPG I'm running. In my imagining, it includes a small park (for the kids), quite a few paths and islands of foliage, ample grassy areas, and an overlook over a small lake where the cetacean ops crew can transport in and interact with the rest of the crew. I know this is just my own imagination, but knowing it explains those giant bluish windows and sits in the location that Rick intended gives me a warm, nerdy feeling inside. :-)

Just imagine: Castle Greyskull (or even different parts of Eternity, reachable by Windraider, Stridor, Attack Trak, etc), the Command Center/Power Chamber , Youth Center/Juice Bar (Zordon Era of Power Rangers), etc. So many places to explore in 3D!

Not possible due to the version of rights CBS holds. All Trek they create has to be 30% different in style, sound and whatnot . So they couldn’t do a 1to1 representation of classic trek even if they wanted to.

Even if this were simply an exploration game for PC, CBS could easily capitalize on this concept. They just need to compensate the creators for their efforts which is probably where all the problems lie…they won’t. Or the creators don’t want it capitalized on. Maybe someone will do it again in the future again with Unreal Engine 5. Build upon what’s already been done.

Nice work. I can see a game there if "the powers that be" allow it. Needs a ray activated by P with the item in hand placed 2 cm above the rays contact point. Cargo etc need Weight & friction with the option to make it negative so things have gravity off. Some nav AI needed on the NPC's so they don't get tangled up on corners. Sadly I'm not a coder. If It were no blocked that is.

Yeah, I don't know if it's the game or Windows trying to phone home or something, but I disconnected my network cable and the game ran just fine.

It just hit me that the flyby is from the birth right episode. And also, to have this project out down by a corporation makes me real sad, and angry. Just a barrier just in case, by a corporation to stop any potential monetary loss, but what it really does is stop creativity and art, and those getting to the people that really fill their souls with it. And besides, there would have been no monetary loss in any of this. These guys would have made a great involved game if they would have let them, probably better than many Trek things today. But it shows in the products that they´ve been presenting with the new movies and series, very simplistic story, with no philosophical and intelectual drive towards the audience.

Alright, so I'm hoping I might have some luck asking a support question here. I'm using the v.10 windows version from the download link in the vid description - a much appreciated upgrade from my .0.91 version btw! :-) I see from the video that at the helm you can access a course settings menu. In the vid, it looks like they are accessing the "warp drive systems" button on the helm console, but I can't figure out how to activate it. I can get my cursor over there, but nothing happens when I click. Pressing the interact button, of course, just exits me from the seat. I'd absolutely love to access this part of the experience, but can't figure out how.

@@liverpoollad9103 It’s been a spell, but I did get it working and iirc it was a resolution and/or dual monitor issue (probably messing with mouse mapping). If you use 2 or more monitors, I suggest first trying turning them off (except your main, obviously) and restarting the game. If that doesn’t work, it might be that I scaled down from 4k to 1080p. Sorry I can’t say which it was for certain.

I have a space fleet design with back story and ship layouts, pixel maps. It would be nice if people with more skills than me could map things out in 3D. No hard copyright complications, its all mine. Australians have some automatic copyrights. Its a more libertarian/ conservative society with bad guys that are more police problems than military but one faction are well armed fanatics. Two more are just big problems. Why copy star trek or star wars when you can make your own universe?
