Do they still have the open topped buses during summer? We use to love catching it to Happy Mount Parknor Heysham Towers 😊

To give the bus driver his due, he's certainly not hanging about after leaving Lancaster. But I suppose with all the university students off, the areas he's going to and the time of day there won't really be an awful lot of people looking to get on.

Morecambe bus station isn't much of a bus station to be honest. It's really just made up of 4 bus stops 2 either side of the little dual carriageway but there are shelters and it's conveniently located for the railway station as well. Lancaster and Morecambe can't be anymore than 8-9 miles apart at most.

I think that the Lancaster depot for Stagecoach seriously needs to invest in tree-bars for their double decker buses and follow the example set by the Stagecoach depots in Manchester. Otherwise they are going to end up with cracked windows on the top deck and the paintwork getting all scratched.
