Piece of trivia, if you want your guys to look authentic, then have them use button down suspenders. Belt loops for pants weren't invented until 1926. They all wore suspenders back then.

He's using the brakes which kept the wheels from spinning. You don't wanna go down a steep incline with a stagecoach without using the brakes at all or it can push against your team and possibly go out of control.

At about 25 seconds "pretty good grade". Um, my fields are steeper than that, the road I live on is steeper than that. My team will hold a loaded wagon down them, An empty wagon like that is nothing. A good team used to hills will sit right back into the breeching and drive on, my hay wagons have no brakes.
