The nice "wide" streets of Kirriemuir! The bus driver doesn't half do well to get a double decker round some of these gie tight streets with barely enough room to fit a single vehicle.👏🤝👍 very good driving and a nice new(ish) Stagecoach double decker (ok, it's a 19-reg, but it's still fairly new) as well.

I used to travel on this route in the late 1980s to visit my sister who lived in Forfar at the time ... back then it was run by Strathtay Scottish using Alexander Y-type bodied Leyland Leopards. Nice to see the parts that have changed and those that haven't! 👍

Thank you for your excellent videos. On this video I was initially astounded to see the huge crowd of school children waiting at Forfar Community Campus. Then I remembered that the Scots government allows all people under 22 resident in Scotland to get a free pass for bus travel! That fact also, I think, explains the age profile of the passengers waiting at Dundee bus station.

Ey it's my local route! 11183 is a good motor. Forfar also has 11184, 85 and 86 with a few B5LH hybrids in the mix, all for the 20/21. Hope you enjoyed it 🙂

@@EurasiaTransportExplorer Next time you visit Dundee and if you want to try them most will be allocated to the 73 (Arbroath to Dundee Ninewells). With a few also being allocated to the aforementioned 20/21.

There's something that I have noticed about Dundee and the areas round about (or just slightly North of Dundee in Angus) and that is in Dundee itself there's a lot of parts of the city that seem to finish with the pre-fix "gate" and in Angus the region just North of Dundee there's quite a few places that end with "muir". Just a bit odd.

Interesting, so the first 15 minutes are just a run around the town and back to the town centre, before the main route to Dundee even starts.
