@toboe399 Yeah, some of the older stuff like the old Life Like and Buchmann don't run very great even when new since their electrical pickup is rather poor, I did away with all of my older stuff like that and have been collecting the newer Athearn BB and Walthers stuff, obviously I started after I made this video cause you wouldn't dare catch me crashing Walthers cars or locomotives, LOL

That first clip was fantastic with the telephone pole being taken out from the base were it was glued and the SP unit with the tank cars kept going even though it looked like it was going to stall to a stop. I'm a model railroader myself and really I don't see any problem crashing the cheap stuff such as some 2nd hand Bachmann stuff. After all, these movie production companies spend thoasands of dollars on custom models that I'd kill to have, just for a 10 second crash scene movie clip.

Depends on a few things, file size, internet connection. If you have a slow internet connection then it will take awhile. Larger file sizes take at least 20 minutes or so. If the file is too large this may happen as well. Be sure to check your file size and connection.

No, I don't have ADHD, how many times must I point out to commenters to read descriptions on this video, this was done for fun, if I had ADHD then I would not have a long enough attention span to put in the intricate work and time an HO scale layout requires, again before you judge or comment read descriptions, and again thanks for watching!

22 yrs, and no I wasn't drinking, just had one of them destructive moods. It is always fun to crash things especially trains however this is before I got my newer stuff so I didn't worry.

Yeah at least couplers are a lot cheaper than a loco to replace, but reguardless of costs it sometimes pays off just to have a little fun once and awhile. Thing is some of my track is too close to the edge so I need to install some barriers.

Normally I wouldn't either but I got bored that day and had to have fun. Since then I have replaced some of my loco shells and aquired new cars therefore I tend to not do this very often or at all.

@PRR5406 Yeah you are correct, however unlike a lot that live at home still, I have two years of college under my belt and now have a full time job in the field I graduated with and Associates. Now I am sure you probably didn't mean this as an insult but for those who usually do, a point to consider, don't always judge a book by its cover. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video, and remember always good to have some childish fun once and awhile.

No harm no foul, sometimes we post before we give a chance to think what we want to type. The fact is we all have something that can get at us, but it is good to remember that some are not worth getting upset about, I can see why this would upset you working for the RR derailments are the worst. Thanks for being cival about your comment, a lot of people are usually more ignorant. If you want to see more constructive videos be sure to check out my channel for more layout videos.

Appearently nobody reads descriptions anymore, as I stated in the description, it is ok to have fun once in awhile, to answer your question, yes, but even adults have to be kids once in awhile, if life is taken seriously all the time, where is the fun?

@trainman1986 I know...theres about 2 diesels taht are in great condition..running...not so much..but these..are WAY old you know...pre realistic coupling. The one with a smoke unit runs great and looks great too! so is a 2-6-6-2 ( i think) but thats way too big to run on my current layout

Obviously.....with only 4 foot wide benchwork the tracks came close to the edge, normally wasn't a problem until this, LOL. Any other time I tend to try and keep trains on the track, thanks for viewing!
@trainman1986

@CPWindsorsub Yeah the HLCX patch job was truely a "patch" job, I used a sharpie marker to do the lettering. I sometimes regret painting over the Athearn SE STL&H which was what this unit was, but I was young at the time and didn't pay attention to that.

Yeah the zoom on mine can go to about 4X then it is digital zoom up to 12X. The digital zoom has a tendency to make things look really fuzzy so I try not to zoom in too much anymore.

@TRAVAM91 Oh yeah I would be pissed too considering my layout now has tracks near the edge, I will eventually place fencing of some sort to protect stuff from falling off. I also have some of them autoracks and I am in the process of converting over to 24" radius from 22".
@trainman1986
@trainman1986 14 жыл бұрын
@lcluvsbb15 Well it is simple, called having fun, try reading descriptions before you jump to conclusions, plus that locomotive didn't cost anywhere near 145 dollars, more around 35 to 40, and if it did you wouldn't catch me crashing it to begin with. Like I said read desriptions and it will tell you and others who get offended too easily by this stuff that this is older equipment. So sit back, relax and have some fun once and awhile, and btw thanks for taking the time to view.

@trainwreckmaster I had to remove them as they were wrecked from moving from house to house. This was also a rebuilt loco from parts I had and I hadn't gotten the handrails (as they are called) yet.

It is fun every now and then to stage derailments, but I recommend doing it with older stuff. There is nothing wrong with being a kid everynow and then, life is too short to be serious all the time, but appearently some on here can't seem to understand having fun and have to post stupid comments, but oh well, not my problem. Thanks for the more rational comment.
@trainman1986
@trainman1986 14 жыл бұрын
@TRAVAM91 Thanks, I am glad some understand that having fun is ok. I am also into the hobby as well and the stuff I have now would never be treated like this, however I wouldn't get offended by someone's video of them crashing their expensive stuff, hey if you want to waste value stuff like that then it is your loss, sort of thinking. I kind of wish the CN unit was still running along with my GTW SD40-2 that I used to have as well. All are parts into newly built locos I have now.
@trainman1986

Hi tarmac2001, thanks for a very constructive comment, yes the telephone pole was definately cool in how it fell over after the truck hit it, I found that using rubber cement forms a bond that holds it in place but can be easily come loose if enough force is applied. That came out better than I thought. These units were Athearn but now have newer shells, plus I still have Life Like and the Bachmann stuff to crash every now and then. Check out my channel for more constructive Layout Videos.

@TRAVAM91 I will be posting a Layout Rehabilitation video here soon, this video is of my layout two years ago and I have since moved and have a bigger spcae now, be sure to check it out, may not be any crashes but I plan to incorporate a working signal system much like the one on this layout.

@orison319 Well for your information, I have never touched a drug in my life, not for me. As I said in the description, which lots of people tend to NOT read before making their assumptions, this is just for fun, and apparently this little bit of fun has made a shit load of views in the three years, almost, that this video has been on here, I really need to set it up for revenue sharing and collect money, again thanks for the view.

The stuff in this video was in rougher shape so I didn't really care. The other night however I was running some cheap Life Like Locos off of my movible bridge (See my "Fast Lane" videos). However you wouldn't catch me doing this to my athearns or Walthers locos.
