No one kills themselves - it's just Mike Mushok talking... I'll never forget my first Staind show back in early 1999 in New Hampshire. I was a depressed little 12 year old kid due to half of my family dying that idolized Staind and got to hang with Aaron and the band all night. Before the night was over the drummer Jon handed me an original copy of Tormented signed by the entire band. Great song, great band.

man I miss old Staind. Back in high school this was my favorite album, my favorite band. dysfunction was great, but then what happened? the rest that followed, well, they were'nt my Staind.A couple of songs here and there, but nothing like this album and dysfunction. These songs take me back to friends basments and highway underpass's with my headphones on full. Killing time on the train tracks behind the school. Petty deliquent fun with friends, or at least others in a similar situation as mine.

I know the guy who managed the studio, and he remembered Staind recording there. He was sure it was them. I asked him about it because Staind is from the city of Springfield, that I myself live in, and after seeing the band live, he remembered seeing them in the studio daily when tormented was being recorded. He didn't produce the album or anything, so he didn't know much about the band, but he remembered meeting them. Not many people came to that studio, so he immediately recognized Aaron.

They sold out? No, they just changed. Aaron isn't the drugged out fucker that he use to be. He has a family now, he feels likes someone. The direction of the music from Staind WILL change because of that. That's what makes Staind so nice to listen to, the music doesn't force itself to go in any direction it doesn't belong, it just flows.
