Here's proof that music can touch the soul with its power of love and pain. The shock and awe of life will always be there. But one thing is for sure rock music is the Achilles heel of the pain and suffering we all have to deal with on a daily basis! I know this much staind got me out the hospital bed after being told I have cancer and if I had surgery is never walk again this song gave me the spirit to get my ass up and prove them wrong! And you bring me to my knees Again All this time that I could beg you please In vain All the times that I felt insecure For you And I leave my burdens at the door I'm on the outside, I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you All this time that I felt like this won't end Was for you And I taste what I could never have It's from you All those times that I tried My intentions were full of pride And I waste more time than anyone But I'm on the outside, I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you All the times that I've cried All this wasted, it's all inside And I feel all this pain Stuffed it down, it's back again And I lie here in bed All alone I can't mend But I feel Tomorrow will be O.K. I'm on the outside and I'm looking in I can see through you, see your true colors 'Cause inside you're ugly, you're ugly like me I can see through you, see to the real you

Everyone has a front that they show to the world, and we then hide our own inner colors because of insecurity. Omg I have always loved this song. I finally realized that I was always feeling like this describe me. I just couldn't figure out who the other person was in the my life that I felt like I was feeling was as ugly as me in the inside. Now I have realize after too many years of hurt and hostility to someone I once thought I love. That other person is my ex husband. He knows exactly what he had done to me over the years we were together. The only good thing about us was my handsome son who is be a better man than his bio dad
