Any issue with the pen smearing from the water? Would using alcohol instead of water help with any smearing?

Using Alcohol instead of water helps dry the paint faster and mixes more well with the food colouring. In terms of smearing it should not make a difference and once the black food pen goes over it along with the painting it will all blend together :)

Seneca Robinson graphite(not lead) is relatively nontoxic , from the small amount used I don't think it would do anyone any harm.
