You did a great job of soldering. No patina has seeped over to the back. It looks gorgeous. The black lines of solder make the colors and the design pop! The whole thing works well together.

I think both black and silver are great looks for your piece. I think your choice of color is what made it go either way. Love the way it looks, either way.

It's beautiful! The black really brings out the colours. You have got to stop picking on the artist. The triangle shelf sounds interesting, but don't push yourself too hard. Enjoy your break, come back refreshed.

Looks fantastic, the black does bring out the colors and lines but silver also looked great. I think I see where my patina went wrong so was glad you decided to go that route. I also struggle with when is good enough? I've seen many pieces that still look good but are much less professional than yours, sometimes the minor flaws give the piece character but I guess it depends what one is trying to achieve. Anyway, really enjoyed the episode series of each step, thanks so much for sharing it that way. Am sure I will go back to certain parts for tips. Enjoy your well deserved break and we will be here when you decide to come back.

As for the next project, I think a 3d item would be cool. I have seen the shelf and made one myself, I did enjoy that. A sphere would be very cool but probably pretty difficult. Maybe some type of 3d star or geometric pattern?

I've seen artist use a spray bottle for patina and then they use a brush.
