Thanks. This solves the section view nicely. I still really wonder how we could deal with the plan view, in your method or "end with tread", both will cause an additional line in plan view, which is quite confusing

I just saw another similar video on this. This is not how you do it. Please do this: Once you finish stretching out or dragging out the stair. click on the stair you just made and look at your Properties: Construction - Uncheck - End with riser. This means it will end with a tread instead.

And who told you there’s only one way to do it?
@jy-dl2oj2 жыл бұрын
@@SimpleorDifficult sure, there are many ways one can do things in revit. Some ways are best, and what the program was intended to be used. The way this is explained is unnecessary due to procedures that already take care of those issues. The more things done manually in revit, the more one breaks the connectivity, ie BIM, hence one is not using it as it was intended.

This is a good hack, but wouldn't it be better to simply make the stair end with a landing instead of a riser? You can search on youtube, that would be a much better solution that is much cleaner more efficient in the long run

@@jaimeycaza3576 it still doesn’t allow you to join it the floor though does it? So you’re going to see an overlap with the floor and thick line?
@jaimeycaza35764 жыл бұрын
@@Seychelllian That's correct (unfortunately) it can't be joined. you would need to select linework overrides per view.
