Thanks, Sharon! One thing that has occurred to me is that the sumac and some trees are moving across the hill. These will eventually obscure the view. To keep the hillside a meadow, it needs to be mowed periodically, like once every couple of years. Not to the ground but to about a foot or so. Good practice would see sections mowed in different years so there is always an area abundant in wildflowers.

@@friendsofcarlingtonhampton Yeah, I hear ya! They have mowed it before, I think. question is can they be trusted to mow at the right height and maybe half one year and the other half the next. The sumac would require cutting with a different tool. Remember those women from forestry? we talked to?
