Same. Bamboo Island is one of my preferred tarantula spanwer's for me. It's flat, no ponds or rivers. I just clear the rocks, trees, and flowers, and run in a U shape up and down the beaches hugging the ocean, then when I get to the middle I slow down and usually have tarantulas in the middle waiting. Was honestly perplexed with Austin John was saying he couldn't get them to spawn on bamboo island. Perhaps he wasn't going far enough on the beach towards the ocean to give them room to spawn?

For me, bamboo island has worked when I cleared literally everything except for coconut trees. That includes actually picking the flowers and unearthing them and replanting on the beach. In my opinion it’s the best for tarantula farming. Hopefully this helps anyone!

The “blue roses” on the chart aren’t correct. You have to hybrid breed orange and purple flowers to make hybrid red roses... you then breed those hybrid red roses to make blue roses.

I think it would be cool if you could see every person’s island on a list. But the requirements to be on the list are that your gates must be open and you can checkbox a box for public visiting. So, that way, if you don’t want random people coming to your island, you’ll be fine. And the owner could set limits on what people could do on the island. It would be a really cool social interactive feature

Hi Austin I found out today that it is possible to get gold roses but the proses is a bit of a pain. What your need to do is crossbreed red roses to get black roses, then your going to crossbreed the black roses in a "X" shape. your going to need a 5 star island when Isabel gives u the diy craft for the golden watering can. To craft it u o my need 1 gold ore. Once u have the black roses set up your going to water then once a day to get the possibility of getting a gold rose bud. Hope I helped and have a good day

For those who don't know: - The canary on the bulletin board is a sign there's a new posting. It can be important news such as upcoming events, such as fishing or bug-catching contests. That gives you time to plan ahead before you get surprised by morning announcements speaking about it. (In past games, you could cheat your little butt off by hoarding the "good stuff" in your house and turning it in to the organizer. So knowing in advance when it happens, it was possible to just save something from earlier that week... this *WILL* allow you to completely sidestep legitimate participation, so like time travel it's on you if you want to do this.) - I have had *four* Fossil dig spots on my island every day, plus a shining spot for planting a Money Tree. Sometimes they can be hard to find by spawning behind trees. I do not think they spawn behind houses or on the thin walks behind cliffs, as weeds do not seem to spawn there - I think that is "blocked". Now, this could be relative to the number of valid places a dig spot can spawn. They, understandably, cannot spawn where there's a tree, flowers, or other furniture/object placed. (As such - weeds will block them!) I believe, however, they can spawn under items just sitting on the ground. But the thing is, I'm ... 75% certain from past games that patterns "written" on the ground will block spawns. - As you get to know your residents better, they may ask for favors. This can be to fetch some fish/insect for them which will spawn *at the time they asked*. So if you get a request, don't sit on it. They may also lose items and need to have it returned, or ask packages to get delivered. Doing these things will improve your relationship with the person in question - which makes them less likely to want to move out on you once you start filling up your resident slots.

On that island you went to sleep on catching tarantulas, I caught Sturgeon in the mouth of the river. I was able to use your rare fish island method to clear spawns in the river and farmed sturgeon. Just as easy as tarantula farming and more profitable. I have pics and vids as evidence

Ay I did the same I found that the islands with 2 levels and a river going out to the right spawned sturgeon like crazy cause the ocean spawns weren’t that high they’d spawn a lot in the river. I got bamboo island twice, and both times I went tarantula farming it worked fine but it wasn't raining so maybe that's what affects it. Also, when I was on the island I had 4 rocks and I didnt think about the centipedes spawns and stuff that also affected the tarantula spawns. So if you get bamboo island and have rocks, just destroy them haha.

Hey Austin, you probably wont see this but a nice tip, when you make a tarantula island, if you run with a vaulting stick they dont aggro to you for some reason. So i just run with the stick with no worries and when i see one keep your distance and change to net. If you are too close they will jump on you as soon as you press the change tool button, no time to show frames even lol

Tarantulas and scorpions will only turn aggressive on you if they see you holding a net. But they'll remain hostile if you put the net away afterward.

Bamboo island is the best for me interestingly enough. I also performed a lot of my experiments here. Agro range 3 blocks etc. Making a safe way to catch them without hardly any risk to yourself. Learning there are 3 different ways to catch them. The if you are scared route no worries, the faster route with some safety and the fastest all out head-on full speed.

Austin I wanted to let you know something that I discovered while I was Island hopping. While I was island hopping I can across an Island that had a very skinny outer rim Island and in the center were just a bunch of rocks surrounded by water like an island inside an Island. While I was there every time I hit a rock It was a money rock and in the center was like you just won a lottery in Las Vegas I’m not sure if you have experience this so I want to let you know about it. We are still in the early stages of learning the tricks of the game engine under the hood. I don't know this with any certainty, but I have observations... •Luck dose appear to be in the game, but so far I have no idea if there is a way to know if the player is getting good or bad luck, and if luck is still determined by the things they wear. But without a current way to confirm how much good or bad luck a player has, it's hard to diagnose the full effects of luck and if they have changed the system in certain ways. •I know that it is not April yet, but yesterday new butterflies appeared in my town. There might be a few days at the end and start of the month that the new spawns will phase in and in a few days March spawns might fade out. •either by the player's luck, or by random seed each day seems to perhaps have a focus on prioritizing a bug or a fish *(maybe both categories have a focus for that day.) That will reduce the chances of other bugs or fish in their rarity category. (This also could be affected by player luck.) So if any of the above hypotheses are true, this could explain why they are less likely on some days, and way more avalible on others.

About spawns on the bamboo island: I've seen others have tarantulas spawn on those too. You just had mole crickets spawned as can be heard in the footage. These hide in the ground where the sound is loudest and have to dug up in order to disappear.

The character is a Gyroid yes but in the old Animal Crosssing games you could dig up gyroids from the cracks in the ground. Collecting them was my favorite part of the game and I'm really sad that they took that feature out.

It only occurred to me when watching this video that the museum has one musical “theme” and it’s arranged and orchestrated differently depending on where you are. Notice the deliberately slow tempo in the aquarium vs the slightly faster tempo with different instrumentation in the butterfly room. That’s really neat.

This! I was on the island he calls "rare fish," damn things would not go to sleep. But, I did catch a bunch of Emperor butterflies, and a random sturgeon. Also got the char, golden trout, and cherry salmon for my museum.

Im sure you're doing this, but just incase, make sure to head to the island after 7PM to start, and also pick every flower. If there's even one flower with pedals, butterflies will be around the island. You don't have to dig them up, but you do have to pick the pedals.

I've been able to tarantula farm on bamboo island with or without rain. You just have to remove EVERY rock, stump, and bloomed flower. Also, you have to chase away the wharf roaches. Thanks for the tip! I love tarantula farming and getting rich!

Austin, I’ve noticed that red roses plus red roses watered during the day make pink, but if watered at night have a very high chance of making black roses. Also, if you obtain a golden watering can by having a 5 star rating, be sure to water some black roses with the can

On the bamboo island, after you clear it you have to run around and scare the roaches and other bugs, bc an island can only have so many tarantulas at once. Love ur vids!

You should give us a small island tour or something. I’m having trouble figuring out where I want residents to live. I would like to try and avoid that single row of houses, but I’m not sure how to else to go about it. I also am not sure how many trees to keep on my island and how many to destroy when placing buildings. It would be nice to see the way you’ve structured things as a whole sense the random glimpses of the island we get look really nice

I found that creepy doll in a floating gift, and I decided to put it on a rock on the beach. So now whenever i come onto my beach i see this doll face peeking over the rock at me. 😂☹️
