16:07 So just an fyi from someone who goes outside, and has to use their hands. Fingerless gloves are so you can use your fingers to do things. When covered you're fiddling around 3x or 4x as much as you would otherwise. I buy regular gloves layer them up a couple times, and cut out the index, and thumb tips. Makes life as a mailman so much easier.

Though I will also say that fingerless gloves aren't for every job. During the winter times I do a lot of logging in my free time, and if you've got cold fingers good luck keeping a grip on the axe. Once your fingers get cold, every swing makes your hand feel like it's going to shatter. So I'd say, if the job you're doing is cold and requires deft hands, then get yourself gloves with removable fingertips or fingerless gloves. If the job is cold and requires you to sustain a lot of hard impacts, then cover up as much as ya can or you'll regret it come the morning.

Fingerless gloves are useful in warm weather too. Having an extra layer between your palms and whatever you have to touch is useful. Barbed wire, rust, plants... And having something to keep your grip when your hands are slick with sweat.

there are gloves that have certain fingers with velcro.... Literally all you have to do is flold it back when you need your fingers, then when done you can fold it back down. :/

The reason there isnt a way to turn off the rad being on screen, is because its a main part of the game for you to avoid places with it and to not sit in that spot for to long, most times you wont be able to look at the indactor bottom left to find out if your getting rad while your fighting or something

Nope, it's based off recording video in highly Radioactive areas, you end up getting a lot of white noise from the radiation literally interfering with the tape. It even happens on digital cameras, the little bits of radiation smack the CMOS sensor and it's indicated as a little white dot.

I don't get how some games these days can have like 1,000 setting options and not include the basics that covered like 99.999% of players a few years ago. Sensitivity, brightness, sounds settings, button mapping, and inverting y-axis is all you need. And the most important things. I was testing out Star Citizen the other day and there are like 4 different y-axis inversion options that seem to contradict each other. Just provide one button for yes/no on that and everyone is happy.

It's funny as a stalker player I assume artifacts and equipping them for their listed passive bonuses is very intuitive, but I've seen so many streamers have the same issue where they have no idea how to "use" the artifact once they've equipped it. Also yeah the game is hard. Quicksave often and learn to play as if you were really there and trying not to die rather than the player in a call of duty game. But take stock that you are an absolute master stalker compared to skilly.

As a hardcore stalker fan and a guy who not only played the original 3 multiple times but also many many mods for it,and stalker being my childhood game,to me stalker 2 feels nice,it looks nice and fun to play but doesn't give that authentic Stalker feeling i don't know why! the graphics shot up but its giving it more of a metro/COD vibe. the hud changed drastically. The atmosphere got much more brighter than usual,Stalker is usually grim even during day time. stalkers now speaks in a British accent for some reason. The dialogue feels off would have preferred it to be like in the original game...plus theeee character speaking during dialogues is one stupid way to kill the immersion of you actually role-playing the character!!! the voice acting is terrible like terrible! And i ask myself..why? If it wasn't broken why try to fix it? Reading a huge dialogue filled with details and dark lore while being engulfed by the surrounding atmosphere without the NPC ruining it with his stupid voice acting wassss the best....why just..why change that? I know its my opinion and some people wouldn't like it but hear me out: Its been years since a new stalker game came out,we as fans played the hell out of the OJ so much that pretty much we got attached to simple small things in those games that made stalker special and not like any other survival game out there,sadly stalker 2 doesn't have those things and even changed some of the big things,sure its the same aspect as the old one but where is the original flavour of it? In my honest opinion stalker 2 seems to be a good game...but to me its not a good S.T.A.L.K.E.R game :/...its like taking your BMW to a workshop just to find out that they shoved a mercedes benz chassis on it, sure its cool but wth happened to my old car?

Only one part of this game serously pissed me off. Once you reach the main ward science facility, you are attacked by an illusion fight sequence... that makes you use real ammo. I burned through a ton of real ammo for a "dream". With no way to replace to ammo easily.

UE5 is designed to run upscaling and frame gen, it's a bit too complex to run on modern hardware without it due to the lighting and other systems that are baked into it. You can just about get away with it on a 4090 @4k but that's the only card. It has nothing to do with optimisation, and everything to do with the type of game it is. Nothing has used Unreal 5 on this scale before, ever.

Fucking SO excited for this game, man!! This is my most anticipated game for years now, just started it about an hour ago and as a huge fan of the original game(s), so far I am not disappointed. I've seen a lot of mixed reviews from people, sadly most have been on the more negative side and I feel like people are not giving enough credit to the team for the sheer craziness of their reality during the process of development, just the fact alone that they managed to make something so damned incredible under such terrible circumstances is admirable enough, so what if the game doesn't launch in a perfect state? for the most part the negativity is from people spreading what they've heard from reviewer copies which had a LOT of issues, before launch there was a 140GB Patch to fix a crap ton of stuff so reviewers didn't get to play what we have rn HOWEVER atm some major systems like the A-Life System and some of their Advanced AI is borked and doesn't work properly so they've had to implement a more normal enemy system atm but after/if that gets fixed then the game will be even better then it already is now
