And vastly superior when playing an FPS game where enemies can be above or below you, This isn't Doom Era when there was no up and down button and a shot would connect an enemy above or below you, even when firing straight ahead, centre line. I can understand people that were console users using controllers when gravitating to PC use, but still, they should use K&M, its what FPS games demand to be used with.

@@alexduh5433 you can turn the HUD elements off, several clips in this vid had the cross hairs gone, several had no compass, several had no HUD showing ammo, stamina, health, all that jazz. All of it can be disabled in the menu.

The gameplay reminds me too much about Far Cry. You got the enemy detection UI, the slow-mo weapon wheel with that thump sound, and you're even climbing towers now. I'ma still get the game regardless though.

This might be youtube but it looks like there is small anti-aliasing issues and the ui design and resolution look horrid but other than that it looks great. Its incredible how the dev managed to carry on making the game despite the war !

I played all the stalkers and the mods and I can't wait to play this new chapter. I really hope that the maps cover every area of ​​the zone and that it is full of missions and equipment, from the videos it seems very promising. For me it would have been nice to see some brave stalker, at least in the bar or some scientist, where there are soldiers, adventurers, criminals there are always girls too. I'm seeing the same issue I had with RE4 remake, in the remake they make the environments more sunny and bright to show off the graphics, but lose the original game's dark, cloudy atmosphere. The first 30 seconds area is amazing though

I believe you are correct to call out the UE 5.5 when one of the main people at the company making Stalker 2 said it uses UE 5.1 with custom things added by them to allow UE 5.1 to handle the enormous world size. I trust that info considering the source.

Honestly it doesn't look that good 😓 I hoped for more, and I don't necessarily mean the textures, the atmosphere is absent they should take more notes from metro exodus, lightning is everything in a game like this it needs more depth, more fx, fogs, interesting terrains/weather etc also more environment animations things look a bit too static. The soundtrack is nice though

Somehow this game looks like the old stalker games. Yes, the fidelity is there but the overall look, the UI and interface elements are out of the 2k's. Weired. I hope the story is going to be good. And the english audio, the prononciation of some words is totally wrong and voicing is unnatural in some places. My only hope is that the story will make the player forget about these imperfections.

What little animation of the enemies they're shown has looked very poor and not any better than the originals. Wolves & pigs running around looked really old school. Gun animations and accessory details look nice. But the lack of solid footage of combat makes me worry. What are they hiding? We already know what UE can do. But the animation and interaction with the environment is what makes it special.

Игра выглядит безумно красиво: погода, освещение, детализация, оригинальность и своеобразность уровней... Лично я чувствую атмосферу сталкера, только теперь это выглядит не мультяшно, а красиво. Надеюсь, эмбиент будет на достойном уровне. Единственное, что выглядит кривовато, на мой взгляд - анимации боя у ботов (точнее, их отсутствие) и анимации их смерти, даже в оригинале они были более подвижными. Желаю игре успеха и оправдать ожидания игроков😊

The physics of grass and bushes is completely absent. Anomalies do not affect the environment at all. The best thing about the first parts was the shooting. Here it is mediocre, or it is a problem of playing on the gamepad. So many postponements, for the sake of it?

I agree it looks like they just discovered farcry 3 and said they wanted to get rid of Stalkers original soul for those outdated gameplay mechanics. The gravity anomaly at the very beginning did actually have a cool effect on the water and the destroyed vehicles even crushing them as it grew in intensity. But other than that I couldn't see any real physics in action.
