i have one tip for fighting mutants mutants will have to stop to turn around otherwise they can only move almost entirely linearily so if you run zig-zag they can never get you, run to the side instead of trying to run away from them, when they pass you, you can fire at them

another tips: press ctrl button and click 2x times left mouse button,thanks to this you can place all items that are stacked instantly. also another great tip is if staller doesn't want to trade with you - just press 'x' button and trade will appear. and last tip but not least is - if you want to get crafting books faster, make sure you have 2-3 or more bodies that are unlooted, then save a game , check bodies, if they don't drop any crafting books then load a game, and repeat until you find it :)

But for begginers, spam mutant hunting quests in the Garbage hangar, just make sure you have a shotgun preferably Toz-34, you spam them by doing them, sleeping to skip a day(a text will appear saying a recent emission has happened) and you'll have another quest available, if it's not a hunting quest, just quicksave and reload until you get a hunting quest, ez ruble, just make sure you have enough water and food(always drink then eat). TAKE every faction patch you find, you can get quests from certain traders to bring them patches and you might have enough to get some nice rubles. The same tactic works for artefact hunting and the best place for this is The Generators but you'll need lots of food and water, a Exo/Nosorog outfit to carry a lot of looted artefacts and a SSP ecologist suit, but that's another story rookie, watch out for those cats heheh Edit: also download the addon for quick melee(without a knife equipped cuz youre gonna equip your pistol there instead) and the addon to skin them without pulling out a knife, personally for me it makes the game more fluent and less annoying.

my secrets to dealing with cats: run in a straight line the moment you hear them, as long as its not in the same general direction they are in they will path a straight line at you and you can mow them down this also sometimes works if they have already reached you if you can hop over an obstacle and just like all animals the "safety rock" strat of jumping onto some scenery and shooting them as they run in circles unable to reach you always works their damage is also lowish so armor with high rupture and a good knife can work

I was playing Anomaly first, thanks to you I started playing Dead Air and it was very hard but unique experience because of brilliant features and details - toxic areas, mutants hiding in the mist... Red Forest was so scary for me even though I have long time with Stalker games :D Now again I want start Anomaly bcs of You! This time on harder level and with gameplay based on crafting (in DA its much harder). I dont have too much time to play games now but Zone call is so strong... :D anyway, thx for tips! At Yantar science bunker there is a food trader you can ask about and he will give you a decent starter ballistic armor for 8 full vodkas.( the kind that has three uses) Really handy for a quick armor set in an Invictus playthrough.

Yeah Anomaly is brutal heck had five ecologists with me and I went to get an artifact from a anomaly field and then we got dropped by 7-8 Monoliths my pals was dead within seconds I only survived due to my exoskeleton but that is down to 64% durability

I took my time exploring the rookie village, broke some crates, got some weird loot... then when I finally decide to talk to NPCs and get missions, the military helicopter is patrolling around gunning us down lol In future attempts, I just rushed to him and started the mission so we could kill the initial boars before the helicopter arrived. But then cats showed up -.-

@MBOmnis found out that it takes quite a few AP rounds to take down a Helicopter, easiest ones to use is either a 5.56 caliber(NATO guns) or a 5.45 Caliber. I technically used a Galil(7.62 AP) and it's only hard to shoot the target when it moves around a bit in the air.

This release lets you customize your game pretty much how you want it. If you find something too grindy / not rewarding, you can change its settings in the options (extra) menu.

Hit is the best addition to the story line and stalker in general. She accompanied me and strelok team into the final raids. And the storytelling is surprisingly engaging. She got the railgun and she's a good shot too.

Damn, I am playing Stalker: SoC, CS and CoP since they were released (and yes, I always liked CS a lot) and I have spend countless hours with mods. Some were "Meh...", some were good and some were amazing, but this... this is a whole new level and I am amazed and somewhat shocked in equal shares. So much new stuff to explore, so many new areas, adventures, game mechanics and whatnot, it is quite overwhelming. Unfortunately, the documentation is still a bit lacking and the game quite often does not tell you how to exactly use things. I felt a bit embarrassed for instance after trying to use my flashlight to no avail by hitting the "L" button, as the control scheme is telling you, only to discover that "L" is for the headlight only and that you use the "O" key, like for detectors to actually use the flashlight. (And is there a real use for those "look around corners" mirrors? I mean, traders sell them, but are they good for anything other than dismantling? Who knows...) So any tips like this are highly welcome and I am quite grateful for this.

Generaly my main "base" is at Rostok because it's a pretty central location for all the early-mid game and you have everything here. I'm pretty anal about organization so I got a ton of stashes (one for ammo, one for parts, one for food etc...) using the special backpacks you can drop on the ground to make your own stashes. Got maybe 15 of them :) you can easily craft them

Do you have any food and drink tips? Two tips in particular: 1. A lot of the food items I buy or get from quests can take me from red to gray after waking up, which makes me feel like I'm wasting them when I get the gray icon. If I don't eat or drink anything when I get the gray icons, I start to lose stamina quickly even when walking while carrying under 30kg. Should I just let the meter drop to yellow? 2. Most of the low-tier mutant recipes don't seem to fill up my character that much, which makes me feel like I wasted the money buying the cooking equipment that I could've spend on some tuna. It feels like it's better to just sell these ingredients to Butcher and spend that cash on the snack foods.

1: Don't let the meter drop to yellow, as you noticed it affects stamina a lot. Just eat a "Half-meal", basically something under 200kca (a full meal being 450+kcal). Or drink something like an energy drink, it gives you a little satiety. 2: Yeah cooking is not really worth it if you buy the gear, just buy brand new food directly, and cook only the "free" stuff you find on stashes or enemies.
