Lord have mercy, going down memory lane through the Qing drip clad king DatLJGuy covering the cozy days of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? It's a (early) christmas miracle! Gotta add your latest magnum opus to my watchlist for when the time comes to feast on a mighty good meal, milord. Keep on grindin' & shinin' king. (fingers crossed that the third attempt of my comment will stay visible this time)

After 15 hours in stalker 2 I put it down for shadow of Chernobyl. I can’t believe it, but SoC is better than stalker 2 at the moment.

To be fair - damage-tied-to-difficulty is just a rumor long time disapproved by data-mining. Changing difficulty really only affects how much health player has - it doesn't affect weapon damage or accuracy - if you feel that your weapons don't deal damage it's because they are inaccurate AF and ADS does nothing. No, seriously, ADS does not affect weapon spread in any way. This was probably made up by elitist GAMERS as a mean to say "you either play on Master or you're not a gamer"... The Vodka thing is mostly a local meme - you see, there was information that consuming small amounts of red wine removes radioactive isotopes from body by replacing them with the elements found in wine as in easiest material to find and consume. So uneducated drunkards heard about it and thought that it's alcohol that defeats radiation so they found another reason to get wasted and devs just played on this meme since you already have in game magical medicine that somehow removes radiation from your body. Regarding weight - there are artifacts even in SoC that increase your carryweight, but finding them is a hassle. Noosphere is a philosophical concept that was popular in Ukraine at the turn of the millenium - hard post-soviet life with failing economy further pushed down by equally squalid but still more powerful russia and lifting of restrictions on religion and faith have brought alot of concepts and philosophical themes to mind. One of such concepts was that Earth aside of atmosphere, also has Noosphere - a layer on which thoughts, wishes and emotions of all living and formerly living beings are located and "Heaven" and "Hell" are perception of human consciousness of getting into contact with the Noosphere. Or something like that, I was like 14-16 when I read that stuff and I was not really impressed. It sounds more like a fantasy/sci-fi concept rather than something real and tangible. Stalker 2 is not really Shadow of Chornobyl kind of sequel, it's a sequel to entirety of all three games, treating all three of them like first part, when you look at the story. Hence it has name "Stalker 2" Gameplay-wise Clear Sky is the weakest - they made guns VERY inaccurate because they wanted players to use new upgrade system. But instead of making ok weapons work better, they just made really bad weapons being just mostly bad. I feel like Call of Prypiat at least partially fixed this issue, but still not completely. Regarding broken Gauss gun - it's a quest with Kardan. You speak with him after obtaining the weapon, he will pass out for few hours, after which you can talk with him, he will send you to some lab and there you can find that fix. After you get it, it's the best Sniper Rifle in the game. While Degryarev's story doesn't sound important, it does show few things outside the Zone - how people live there and how they die and how USS was not ready for the Zone's behaviour.

You don't review Stalker, Stalker review you.

I'm back playing modded Anomaly. Stalker 2 was good for one playthrough but they betrayed what made stalker stalker at the same time. Lets be real here we play stalker games for the AI and they literally gutted that to try and optimize the game, I would honestly hate to see how the game performed prior to that given that it performs like a steaming pile of dog shit as is.

I had to stop playing soc after pulling the three levers in the factory, the gunplay was just too trash to be immersed in the game, skipped CS and went to pripyat which feels better but still bad kinda, tbh imo these games dont feel that good to play, thankfully stalker 2 doesn’t have rng bullet garbage i think

i think thats what they call a skill issue
@heroicsquirrel3195Күн бұрын
@ Thats all you drones can say, just accept the gunplay is trash, its simply badly designed, bullets not hitting at point blank range is just dumb and not fun. This game doesn’t even take skill, just patience, COD campaigns on the hardest difficulty take more skill lol. Don’t respond because i know im right (been playing fps games for over 20years, beat all campaigns on hardest and have 2.0+kd in any multiplayer game i try at) this isnt a debate and i wont respond again to braindead “git gud” “skill issue” simpletons
