I am confused, how does this take less time then taking the card fronts out of the MISTI to accomplish the card. It seems like it is more time-consuming because you do one layer, clean the stamp, ink the next layer, turn the plate, and do that 4 times vs. just doing one layer at a time.

For me it’s more about not having to move the paper and not get it back in the right spot. And if you don’t already have a misti, now there’s a choice.

N, I have noticed an almost dip towards the center when I put the paper in the corner of the Stampwheel. I feel like the base is flexing and my stamp is not making good contact on that corner of the paper that’s in the center. I use a felt eraser to push on the top to ensure contact. It’s sitting on my glass mat which sits on my counter top, so whatever this is, it’s the Stampwheel itself. Even double or triple stamping doesn’t get a clear image in that corner, and it doesn’t matter which corner - all 4 do the same thing. I’ve looked at the base, wondering if it is hollow which would explain why there could be a flex, but it looks like it’s solid, molded plastic. Have u noticed any issue with this? I’m hesitant to complain if it’s user error, but I can’t figure anything else to try. TFS. So pretty!

@99zanne Seeing. this a month later...I pre-ordered the StampWheel and got mine in early May. I think it's a great tool, BUT, I think it's mostly designed for layering stamps or repeating stamps in the round, such as for wreaths. My quick take is that the "wheel" may need to be heavier so that it presses down more accurately. With its current weight, my experience, at least, is that it can flex too much and even a little bit of flexing can cause problems. I had some problems with my wheel fitting cleanly back into the platform...it seemed to "catch." Stamp positioners such as the MISTI and other hinged type positioners are probably more convenient and practical for quick stamping of sentiments and one-layer stamps, I think. I don't know. I haven't really had the chance to put mine through its paces bc of my other creative ventures..I also do fine art which is really my focus but I LOVE papercrafting too. As I said in another comment, I have become a recent fan of Altenew,...their stamps and dies are top-notch. My opinion on the StampWheel is still not fully formed. But I like how Altenew does things in general and they also have great sales and promos.

Nicol, this is beautiful - TFS! Question: could you ink all of the flowers in one color first, then rotate the paper, stamp with a mid color, and then rotate the paper and stamp with a dark color? That way you would get four roses all the same color, in 3-4 rotations. Would it mess up the way the light and dark inks give the roses shading and definition? I would love to see a demo! ❤

You make the the Stampwheel seem so easy. Im wondering though, I have a mini Misti as well as the 12 x 12 Misti, - the thought of spending more money on another stamp position, I just dont know, its a big cost. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Yes I’m sure it will work absolutely fine. You just have to figure out the placement is all.

I think so and you could always cut apart the stamps and use them as you normally would a layering stamp! Hope this helps!
