I've recently found your channel and am enjoying your video content. Thank you for sharing you hobby, preservation/display strategy and techniques. It's very educational for a novice collector like myself. What I noticed mostly is that you have no fillers with tattered corners and other damage. All your stamps are great examples. Your level of quality is impressive. Again, thanks for sharing!

Nice Canada collection! Some of the Minkus specialized albums used their own catalog numbers which is a pain unless you have a crosswalk.I love getting good supplies I can reuse in box lots - I try to repair old stock books and enjoy using them for topical collections, etc. Another great video -it's so helpful to see different ways of collecting, different types of supplies, etc.

I do the same as new supplies can be costly! Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment!

Thank you for sharing your Canada collection and its organization. I have two Canada albums, one for mint stamps and one for used stamps. The mint stamps usually go into a mount. When I get to it, I'll be adding pages to include covers, whole booklets/booklet panes, interesting cancellations, plate blocks and other things beside single stamps. I many end up needing another album or two.

I am already looking into a fifth album! It can get large when collecting mint examples, postmarks, booklets and the like but for me it is worth it!

Well we do not have this in Canada, but when we go to the USA I will check it out, thanks for the heads up!

Good presentation and narration. What you have there is an accumulation, rather than a collection, a collection is organized, usually by country, or theme, or some category. Though it does have eye appeal.

I like this style of video showing your collection. I have always liked putting my collection in stock pages to make my own album. But recently I came around to appreciate printed papers albums. I have a Mystic stamp company album for my US stamps and I just bought a Scott Specialty album for my Austria stamps. One thing I will never enjoy is the high cost of pre printed paper albums.

Thanks for sharing!! I understand the dilemma. All of my albums thus far have come to me through auction or estate finds at a great discount, so in that way I have been very lucky!

Are you sure that the numbers are Scott numbers and not Minkus numbers? I have a Minkus album and I had to pencil in all the Scott numbers. I collect US Plate Blocks and a few months ago at a stamp show a dealer had 2 Canadian Plate Blocks from 1939. I did not realize that Canada had them. I think that I might branch out . Do you have any for sale?
@StampSleuth9 ай бұрын
I have no plate blocks of any sort for sale at this time, when i get them they are far too often damaged! The number in the albums are not from me so who knows?
