I love the “I pick/you choose” mechanism in games. I absolutely loathe hate drafting where you take a suboptimum choice just to screw someone over. As a result I’ve come to enjoy games that force my opponent to give me something good, ha ha!

I like the idea of I split you choose but it has never chimed with me until Marabunta. If you haven’t tried that I’d recommend giving it a go, it is the one ISYC game that just works and works well.

Agree, Marabunta is a fun little game.

I really liked I split you choose in The Great Split but the way you describe it here makes me not like it for Stamp Swap.

I’d be really interested to hear your thoughts if you play. I would imagine that anyone liking Great Split would have some fun here. Is there a part that sounds especially disinteresting? Thanks for the thoughts.

It's more interesting in this game than in the Great Split though.

@@paulsalomon27 From what I've seen in this video (haven't played it), the difference between your game and The Great Split is the drafting than happens here so there's an emotional attachment of sort to the stuff you draft whereas in The Great Split you have the cards that you are dealt or in Marabunta you have the dice that you roll. I love the aspect of "given these cards, I need to figure out the balance between what I want and what you want" but here I already chose what I want and then I have to split it. So again it's two phases of selection which I am not sure I would prefer but I absolutely want to try Stamp Swap, love stamps and tile laying puzzle.

@@nirsziyeah. That pre split draft is definitely a difference here. Plus the powers and variable scoring objectives. I’ll be curious to hear how people compare them down the road.

A hard pass on this game for me, nothing really interesting in the game play as well as the mechanics in this game. Nice work guys.
