I was fortunate to meet Stan Bowles in a pub in Brentford and got to speak with him my recollection was , you couldn't wish to meet a more humble and decent man , considering what a fantastic football player he was . RIP Stan Bowles

Sad news for the loss is Stan Bowles, who was a mercurial talent, skill and individual personality in abundance! From the days when football was entertaining!

RIP Stan Bowles. You were so well liked by so many football fans and others. Very underated. Glad I played with you many years ago in a veterans league game along with Ken Shellitto.

the best podcast yet! absolutely great stuff, huddy and don paid stan the best tribute he could have, what a brilliant player stan was, that magnificent QPR side of 1976 were better than liverpool and should have won the title, some of the football they played that season was superb, stan was at the centre of all that, huddy says some really profound things about england and the disaster that don revie was, all those brilliant footballers like stan, currie, ossie, worthington etc never got picked because they weren't 'yes' men unlike some of them who were absolutely inferior talent wise, brilliant show, huddy and don, what a pair of great characters, all that has disappeared from today's sterile, woke game which i'm really not interested in, you can keep your Arab financed Man city thank you, love huddy's classic Stoke City away kit from the brilliant 70s, thanks for a brilliant piece of entertainment

Yes, I remember that shot of Jimmy Greaves. A man desperately attempting to show a happy face. Jimmy Greaves could do wonderful things but that trick he couldn't pull off. I think a similar thing with Denis Law. He went to play golf during the 66 final. Purportedly simply because it was England. But I think it was more that he knew Scotland should have been in those finals.

If Grealish is 100 - Rice 105 - Caciedo 115 million: Alan Hudson & Stan Bowles are 300 million.

It was Stans way or no way. Used to be in the betting shop near Loftus road at 2.50pm when he had to play at 3 lol. Very skillfull player but abit hardcore to put up with. Stan hated Rodney Marsh.

I would say Henderson is the greatest mid fielder for England.. Foden Grealish are the worst players no technique just one boot up the middle man for us to play Flakegate the England manager knows what he is doing England will win the best team never to win 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 Great show boys Thank you Alan Hudson a real player

These players get better as the years go by. Totally inconsistent, people only remember the good some brilliant things but once in a blue moon
