The water fuel cell is a technical design of a "perpetual motion machine" created by American Stanley Allen Meyer (August 24, 1940 - March 20, 1998). Meyer claimed that an automobile retrofitted with the device could use water as fuel instead of gasoline. Meyer's claims about his "Water Fuel Cell" and the car that it powered were found to be fraudulent by an Ohio court in 1996.

@@gapininja I worked for a fire department that he use to visit in Ohio. One of the guys that use to work there swears this car was real and they couldn't figure out how he was doing it. I'll also vouch for this guy being very intelligent and mechanically inclined. Apparently Meyers use to visit them and show the car off frequently. They spent a lot of time following fuel lines on the car and were puzzled. He was meeting with investors at the local cracker barrel when he died. As he died, he claimed he had been murdered. Personally without seeing the car, I feel it was a hoax. Anyone know whatever happened to the car itself? I had read a few years back his brother had found plans to the injectors and was going to share them.

The internet proper became open source (aka available to everyone) April 30th 1993, Myers died 5 years later in 1998. He had the means to put his creations online, but he was a paranoid and hypercautious individual who didn’t like to share any of his technology to the public (if he truly wanted his creations to change the world he needed to make public demonstrations, which he didn’t). All of his Patents have expired, there is footage of him displaying his patents and they are what we see nowadays when we look them up. Not true. We all know that internal combustion engines are not "perpetual motion machines" because we use them every day. If the energy needed to produce the spark to ignite the gasoline had to be equal to the energy you get back in the combustion of the gasoline, internal combustion engines wouldn't work at all. It's not true that the energy needed to split hydrogen and oxygen needs to be the same as what you get back from their combustion either. Water is the perfect fuel because you only need the hydrogen and oxygen, the carbon in gasoline becomes a waste product.
@pyotrberia9741

@@jamesgeis , It takes 286 KJoules of energy to convert one mole of water into hydrogen. Burning this hydrogen releases 286 KJoules of energy. Even if someone managed to create 100% efficient processes to do this, there would still be no energy left over to run a car or anything else.

You are correct. Electrolysis is not that hard to do, but it does take energy to do it. The problem is that the amount of energy you get out when you recombine water by burning hydrogen is equal to the energy that it takes to split it in the first place. Then you have losses of energy in the form of heat; both when you split it and when you recombine it. Plus you are trying to accelerate a car which requires more energy. So, you need need to produce more energy by burning the hydrogen than you used to split the water. Which you don't. This car (if intended to function the way he says it did) cannot work. It would break the law of conservation of energy. The reason that fuels such as gasoline work is because the chemical energy state of the reactants (e.g. gasoline and oxygen) is higher than the chemical energy of the products (e.g water, carbon dixodie, carbon monoxide, et. al.). The only way that you could power a vehicle from water is to have a fuel tank in the car with hydrogen that you fill up, just like a gas tank. Then the splitting of the water can be done with some other source of energy like a fuel powered generator, solar, or wind power. Unless, he stumbled onto some amazingly ground breaking physics. His car didn't actually work (at least not for long or the way he says it did). If this car could be ran for a month by a few independent scientists putting nothing but water in. Then I might accept that it worked, but since that didn't happen, there is no reason to believe his claims. Additionally, this man apparently died from an aneurysm. Which unfortunately happens to many people naturally. There is no reason to suspect that he was murdered.

Apparently researchers recently figured out that you can use capacitors to tune ordinary/inexpensive metals into acting like catalytic like, super expensive metals like platinum. One of the possible applications of this, is cheaply and with less power, converting water into hydrogen fuel. It is quite possible that Meyers was just ahead of his time.

If this were remotely true, don't you think mega corporations like Alphabet wouldn't allow this content on their platform? They censor all types of content, and are one of the largest corporations in history. I highly doubt they would like to damage other mega corps. Besides. Anyone who thinks this works doesn't understand basic thermodynamics. This invention would literally give off the same energy output that is being put in. As in, wouldn't run the vehicle. To produce energy that can be used to power things, you need to produce more energy using less energy, creating a surplus of energy.

You are exactly right. But we need to learn from history to protect the technologies that can create a clean, sustainable society full of abundance and prosperity. That can be done by co-ownership of the means of production in a community and every member being a voluntary contributor in their own way to the community upliftment. There is a community focused, cooperative model out now that people can check out: One Small Town Contributionism. It has a powerful IT platform that is for the Members and keeps great innovations in the hands of the people, not to the corporations and not to be stolen and destroyed by powerful government agencies backed by capitalists. Once a Contributionism Organization is established in your town, you just need 3 hours per week to volunteer towards projects or businesses that you are interested in. In return every member gets a equal share of the profits from the sale of goods to non-members for best prices and a free gift basket of goods produced by our members. The projects people can work in are almost endless. From food, to cars, to energy, to education, to construction to recycling, to animal care, to healthcare, you name it. Everything is open because the people have majority control over their co-owned businesses and projects.

If the only fuel he added was water, the car could only have run while until the energy that the battery started with was depleted. Which would not have been very long at all. The word salad Stan tossed was nothing short of amazing however his "replace the spark plug with this here gizmo and it's gonna run on water" is equally amazing aside from the obvious fact that a hydrogen/oxygen gaseous fuel mixture still requires an ignition source as it doesn't simply spontaneously combust inside an engine cylinder. But hey, he certainly talked a good game and people who don't understand the basic operation of an internal combustion engine have yet another conspiracy to hang their tinfoil hats on. Pre-engineering unit is another noteworthy salad ingredient tossed out there. If it were 'pre' engineered, there would be nothing manufactured. Pre-engineering is what engineers refer to as an idea. The engineers then design the components around that idea as in, engineer them for prototype produced samples and assemble the components into an assembly for proof of concept testing after they've been manufactured. This thing never once ran on water so it is what common folks refer to as, 'vaporware'.

Here We are more than 25 years since Mr. Stan Meyer proved his technology, yet the powerful shadow governments of the world have somehow managed to restrict this most beautiful and abundant technology from All of the People of the World. So many absolutely brilliant ideas and concepts that have been capped just prior to fruition by human greed and evil by a few in very powerful positions. It is truly sad, R.I.P Stan.
