I use repro stuff and even POTF 95 to fill in the gaps of my SW vintage collection... so I agree chill out! And collect what you want!

I have a rule about R2-D2 stickers. The sticker should never be whiter than the plastic it's stuck on. An original sticker will always be a shade darker than the plastic because paper yellows faster. Even on dead mint figures the sticker will be a shade darker. If the sticker is whiter, or a lighter shade of white than the plastic, it's been applied later. Some stick out like a sore thumb if the plastic is really yellow, and the sticker bright white.

Thanks for showing these off. Love the figures. I'm glad you showed the underside of R2, I was wondering if SS used a screw to hold the head on. I was thinking of swapping heads on the DROIDS R2 with the POTF R2 w/ saber, for example, just to make it my own I guess. :) I loved your last video. My favorite was the Anakin ghost. I thought about making a cast of a Boba Fett and using a dark green color for the helmet and getting rid of that mesh look on the shoulder for mine. Thanks for the video. :)

Greetings! I don’t know of a specific “seller” that sells them as I don’t collect repro per se. But Stan Solo makes great figures, check his website out. He has quite a few accessories there up for sale.

Stan Solo is definitely a limited run type thing. He's not Hasbro which pumps 1000's upon 1000's of figures out like a factory.

With Stan Solo when the product is marked "Sold Out" that usually means its gone forever. Not always but most of the time. Collectors need to jump on the sale when it happens. My advice to you would be to check in with the website often to stay current with figures.

Nice work getting the Han. He was my first SS figure, and i really think he's a must have to go with the Luke stormtrooper. I have a few of the hasbro retro collections. The only one I think of ever recommend is the Darth Vader Dark Times, as it has a handheld lightsaber. Though the cape is rubbish, so I put a vinyl one on him.

Purely out of curiosity, but when I see most of your figures with guns why are the guns facing relatively far in or out? (horizontal and not vertical) Obviously in real life holding a gun at your side, it would point straight down (vertical). Do the guns fall out of their hands if pointed straight down?

Some figures don't hold the guns well depending on the thickness of the gun grip in relation to the circumference of said figure's hand and the tightness of their grip. So I twist the guns around in their hand to an angle if that makes them hold it better. Visually it may not be life like, but it's better than them not holding their accessory at all. Don't over think it, brother. LOL.

I think of repro weapons, stickers and the like as replacement parts, much as in the way one might restore a vintage car, or anything else. Naturally, I don't mind repro items in my collection, so long as sellers are honest about it. And yes, Mike from Retroblasting is a good bloke. I didn't know about the different "SLC" placements on the Han Stormtrooper. I've just checked mine to see which one I have. Surprised to see mine doesn't have any trademark on it at all! Do I have a bootleg of a bootleg??? 🤣 If you decide to get the other "Last 17" repro figures; EV-9D9 is probably the most sensible one to have a back-up copy of. The KENNER original is such a fragile figure (love the moving mouthpiece gimmick).

Very early Hans from Chris Smith had no stamp on the leg. The stamp was added as a way to go another step to show that they are not original Kenner.

That blame lays directly on the current owner of The Fans Strike Back. Those 13 came about after Chris Smith sold SLC to them. It is a horrible situation and a lot of people got burned, your not alone.

These are quality factory made. The molds alone cost thousands of dollars. These customs are priced right. Nothing is free in this world. Can't expect to get something dirt cheap that's quality.

@GQ Jedi i collect because i enjoy having the original pieces. Its fine to collect reproduction but i don't know what crystal ball you're looking into to say it will drop dramatically in price in the next few years. There will always be a demand for Star Wars in some form or another. Vintage values have either stabilized or steadily increased. Now to say it might drop, sure anything can, but if you think a VCJ will drop down to $50 over the next 5 10 years till you what I'll give you mine for free 🤣

Folks don’t want to hear this opinion because they have 1000’s upon thousands tied up into it. Obviously I could be wrong. But ultimately I collect for the passion not the value. They are TOYS.

I like his products but that latest IG post threatening to flood the market with EXACT replicas in order to get revenge on some youtube weirdo really didn't sit well with me. I.e ruining the hobby for everyone. But to be fair, I'm legit surprised Chinese factories aren't already doing this to make some serious $.

I love SS toys. Trust. Chris has been dealt a lot of shit from people over the time he's been in the biz. People lose their shit when they get attacked. I think that's pretty normal. There's a breaking point for us all. That's all I can really say to the matter. I'm not in his shoes but I don't think I would act accordingly if I had to constantly take strife and attacks from strangers. It's ugly as hell.
