A fan overtook the stage and got on the mic asking the audience if they were gonna let Everlast come into Detroit and talk 💩 about Em like that, at which point people starting throwing bottles, over took security, and several people ended up going 2 the hospital that night. For those that don't know, everlast started this beef in 2000. Em was on the "anger management" tour then and ran into everlast back stage at sway tech but didn't even acknowledge him which pissed him off. Everlast then began dissing em in interviews followed by everlast appearing on "dilated peoples" all star track "ear drums pop" with a verse where he dissed em and hailie. Em responded with his first diss track "I remember" which was a b side on d12 single "shit on you". Everlast responded to that with his own diss track called "whitey's revenge" and finally em ended it with this track "quitter"

Eminem and Everlast had a couple of great songs in a back and forth over this issue. It was some of the best stuff to come out from both artists at the time. The line on the Dilated Peoples song was "Cock my hammer, spit a comet like Haley I buck a.380 on ones that act shady" and it all went downhill from there. Everlast had a heart attack around this time, so you can hear Em using that in this song. It got pretty brutal! Eminem calls him "Whitey Ford" because that was the name Everlast used when he started putting out non-hip hop music like "What I Got" and "Ends".
