@oscgil For normal driving sure, but if you really throw a car like that at a corner, either the camber is going to straighten and bust your wheel well or your suspension, or there won't be any grip and you'll just slide. It's cool and all, I do like it, i'm just more into driving than how my car looks lol

mx5s are raced all the time.. I wouldn't consider a Miata slow, even the 1.6 is 115bhp (detuned version 90bhp) and for a 600 dollar car or so.. that's pretty reasonable in my opinion.

I usually don't mind when stupid people do hideous things to cars, but stance isn't just stupid is fucking dangerous. you are, at best, halving the contact patch of the tire. not only that but because of the excessive camber the tire isn't worn evenly and though it may look as if it has perfect thread, it may be down to the canvass on the inside. not to mention lowering the cars already makes the excessive camber redundant. brilliant editing though. - '04 MX-5 (NB) owner.

@xBDBx sorry to ressurect this, but halving the contact patch was the whole reason for cambered wheels in the first place. while it IS unsafe for roads, it was originally intended for drifting as cars slide better with less traction

@caudice the wheel setups will make them faster, because of the smaller contact patch. And theyll corner good too because the camber will compensate the body roll. I know its mostly for looks, but has alot of functionality too.

@iBikeSA camber angle is used to compensate for body roll, so that when you corner hard the tire is near as perpendicular to the ground. camber has been around a lot longer than drifting.

yes slight negative camber will help handling, and yes the small contact patch will have less friction ie higher top speed , but thats 100% opposite of what its for.
