I'm not even a kickboxer but just understanding striking and implementing it helps my judo a ton. Lots of similarities in the grip fighting, especially as a righty who likes to operate from lefty.

Love the way he breaks this down. You should definitely learn to switch stances. The more you are able to strike out of any stance or position the less you are on the defensive and the more you can throw strikes from anywhere regardless of stance. You dont have to be a master in other stances just comfortable. He puts it into 5 types of stance switches. 1. Slide outs 2. Step through 3. Swing back 4. The switch 5. The shift

I have a doubt mate which hook is better thumbs up or thumb facing me I am comfortable with thumb facing me but thumbs up makes my hook powerful which one you prefer

My coach always correct us when we hook thumbs up but it's personal preference I guess

Preference and context. Forgive the pun but rule of thumb is the further my arm extends passed 90 degrees the more you turn your thumb down toward the ground. The closer the hand gets from 90 degrees thumbs up. Preference is a big part when people throw the punch but I like to emphasize making sure the pointer and middle finger knuckles are what lead and land in the punch or else you risk breaking your hand. I also want to try and keep the knuckles in line with the wrist and the wrist in line with the elbow.

Thumb up and land with the 3 lower/smaller knuckles or the pinky knuckle.
