It's cool to see someone professional looking doing a snuff review. I am a network administrator for a bank and I have always felt out of place being a dipper in a professional environment. For the record since I started dipping snuff when I was 14, I have always packed it in the back of my jaw. I never thought that was a weird thing to do until I watch this video.

That’s exactly how I feel about Copenhagen Black. I love the flavor but I HATE the cut! It always gets everywhere and I always have to go back for multiple different pinches to fill my lip

Another great review! This is the next flavor I'm giving a go as well as being my first can of Copenhagen. I'm buying my dip from the same store (Speedway) while I'm trying to speed run through dips to find my favorite. From what I've read about pricing I assumed Kodiak would be the most expensive brand but I was way wrong. Kodiak is $8. I paid a hair over $11 for this ~3 hrs ago. For reference, stokers is $4. Based on price alone, I don't think there's a taste worthy of $11 when a product like Stokers exists that tastes GREAT and $7 cheaper.

I definitely put this in my top 3. In most situations this was my daily for year's. Then ...you showed me Stokers. Lol. Nothing beats Stokers for moisture and just overall comfortable mouth feel. Great review bud!

Interesting. As a leaf chomper, it bugs me that most of them are overflavored and too candified. Mail Pouch was good but extinct. It sounds like if they made this in leaf it would be great.

I'm from Tennessee and I drink sweet tea on a daily basis I don't think it tastes anything like it. But tried southern blend for my first time while watching this video. Great stuff. Love your videos man keeps them coming 💯

Yes it was not released Nationwide until 2018, it was on FreshCope.com last year when they released it Nationwide. I was surprised to because it’s been in my area for several years now. Lol.

I believe that you're absolutely right no sweetened naturals . All I've ever seen naturals that is. Are salty tasting and not sweet. Great video and review .

Great video review. One issue I wanted to find out it others noticed too: I don't find the cut consistent at all. I love the flavor but I find there are lots of super long, tough pieces that poke you and have even found flat pieces the size of a dime in a couple cans. Having dipped regular long cut for years, I get the feeling they are using this flavor as a way of repackaging the long cut tobacco that doesn't make the grade for original long cut. A smart idea on their part but it's annoying when I have to pick through it every time I open a new can.

Within brand lines of US Smokeless there are tiers. If it is not in fiberboard it is a second tie product. Cuts are not as consistent. In the Skoal Line if it is not labeled as "Classic" or the "Original". again, second tier.

I wasn't aware of that and always wandered why some was in the fiberboard and others weren't. Thanks for the info. I wish they would make a southern blend in Tier 1 because the flavor is the best copenhagen I've ever tasted! I used to like Copenhagen Black (which must also be tier 2) but when I quit for a while and then started up again, it was just way too strong a flavor.

This is the only dip besides skoal dark...which is a sweetened natural in my opinion...in Canada that you can get that is not natural or straight. Its pretty Damn good stuff.

just picked up a can because of your review it's pretty darn good I'm liking the sweetened natural , I still rather dip stokers natural as my go to natty , this a very close second my only complaint about southern blend is the cut is short more of a mid cut other wise S.B is a great product .

If I remember correctly wasn't gold river a sweetened natural. ? Or was that more a league of its own, ? I remember it had a cut like stokers maybe longer if you can believe it .I could be wrong about it being a natural it wasnt labeled as such I dont think .

The Canadian version of Southern blend has a higher nicotine level at 27.6 mg/gram compared to the original at 24.2 mg. I like it in the morning with coffee it has a great punch to kick off the day. Cheers🍻

I believe the tea flavor is a hint of citrus, possibly bergamot. Whatever it is, it is delicious and really lifts the natural flavor after the first third of the dipping experience, soon after some of ammonia is washed away. My favorite and edd. I am also "dentally challenged" (😄) and, due to the cut, the floaters can be difficult to control; but, well worth the trouble. STDCG, Great review as always.

My brother- Did you notice how it literally has Long cut with some snuff cut particles? Some of any given dip has the texture and feel of Copenhagen Snuff like 30% with 70% long cut. I dipped four cans of this stuff and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. The complaints about it being to sweet don't seem to hold up to scrutiny when you consider the fact that it's no where near as sweet as most chewing tobaccos. I'm gonna buy another can and get back to you.

The cut is weird though. It’s good for a once in a while dip. I like it allot more than a Straight. It reminds me of all those crazy dips cope made in 2007 like Hickory & Whisky.

Old vid I know but I hadn't seen it yet so I had to watch. Ive always LOVED the flavor of Southern Blend from the very first time I tried it, but the one thing that has always bothered me is that it says "Long Cut" on the can. Anyone who's tried this dip knows its not anything close to the same cut as Copenhagen Mint, Wintergreen, Straight etc. Its simply just not long cut. Its just classic Copenhagen Long Cut with some flavor added to it. And because of that I can't dip it regularly because the pinch-ability has always been horrid IMO. If Southern Blend had the same cut as Copenhagen's mint or wintergreen I would dip it religiously.

You just gotta learn how to pinch and push it against the can and rub it along the curve. It'll conform into a "corner of a can" shape and ur good to go. It is tricky as it's finer cut but its able to be done.

Man i had forgotten how much I like this stuff. Picked up a roll today to break the monotony of Copenhagen wintergreen all day everyday. It's one of a kind for sure. Natural at first and then....wow where did this sweet come from.

Just got my order of 4 rolls of this product today. This is up there to the best dip I've had as far as naturals go. Immediately I notice that the leaf cut is much thicker meaning that the individual strands, for lack of a better term, is thicker and it really reminds me of the cut of Hawkens just not all the same. I really agree that it is a sweetened natural, I do get sweetness from it and I get a much much less saltier taste (thank God sorry Copenhagen LC original you're too salty for me) but I can not taste any of the widespread opinion of ice tea or sweetened ice tea of any sort, I don't get a tea taste there at all. As I said it is much sweeter and much less saltier, but instead of just smelling smoked it also tastes much more smoked and I think they do use a different type of wood for smoking the leafs. It packs really well, stay in my lip very well with little to no floaters, can looks great too. Taste has been lasting me for well over 20+ minutes now, and as the saltiness subsides the sweetness really comes through fuller and richer as well as the natural tobacco taste. This stuff is yummy and if you haven't had it I can only highly recommend you pick up a can of this stuff. Well worth the money I spent. Waiting for this product I've been using cigarettes (I am on/off those very OFF when I have dip in the house) and Swedish snus and nicotine-wise this product almost knocked me off my chair, it is Copenhagen type strong but not too strong like other known brands that are known to be strong types of dip. Overall I give it a 8/10 but I don't see what keeps me from going higher on the score but I rarely give anything 10 this is close. Yummy!!

Occasionally I'll get grizzly Wintergreen long cut and pouches too. Just finished a tub of stoker's straight, and I'm so sick of it now lol. I change dips often I geuss.
