Except for the sheer takent all of them posssess, what's impressive is their versatility. You can't put VoicePlay in one lane. The difference between Sleeping In The Cold Below and I Can't Make You Love Me or Hellfire is great. I love VoicePlay in all their moods.

There are bass singers who can go lower and higher than Geoff but he is always my favorite. It's the clarity of his tone that put him a cut above the rest the fascinating thing about Voiceplay is that they are completely independent. They do all of the arranging, production, and editing. No label, no management. They are supported almost exclusively by their raid fans on Patreon. They used to you're extensively. When COVID shut the world down they concentrated on their studio work. Geoff, Layne, and Eli are married with children and like being at home with their families. They don't plan to tour again. Voiceplay and Geoff will be dropping their Christmas pieces today.

Thanks for your reaction. Enjoyed having your dad on the reaction with you. I love VoicePlay & Geoff but if you get a chance, check out Livingston. He is an amazing young man, 21, and an independent artist who is on the spectrum. He is from Texas and writes his own music. I think you will be impressed.

The Home Free song that you're trying to remember is Man of Constant Sorrow, where the beatboxer, Adam (whose last name I can never remember), makes the sound like a harmonica. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction to this song by VoicePlay -- love getting to see family reacting together to this song that is such a musical group hug!

The Home Free beatboxer is Adam Rupp, he and his brother Chris were the ones who started Home Free.

Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci released their Christmas videos today. Voiceplay... Zat You, Santa Claus? Geoff... Carol of The Bells (low bass version). Both are absolutely fantastic.

Thanks for another reaction to VoicePlay. I had been hoping that VoicePlay would cover "Stand By Me" eventually. A lovely song with a beautiful message about true friendship. Mykal ("Michael") was the perfect collaborator for this one. Mykal was a founding member of the group who left in their early days for his career on Broadway. Mykal was tenor 1 and Earl tenor 2 in those days. It's not surprising that Layne (beatboxer) singing is such a treat. In their early "4:2:FIVE" days, Layne was their baritone until Scott Porter left for a successful acting career. Geoff got Layne started with the basics of beatboxing to replace Scott and Layne took off from there. Thinking about crazy beatboxing sounds, Layne's sleigh bells in their "The Chipmunk Song" was impressive. Note, both VoicePlay and Geoff's solo channel are premiering their Christmas tunes on KZbin in a very few hours. VP & Geoff solo are my favorites.
