I wish I could teach. I play by ear. Being able to explain the song to musicians of different playing levels effectively requires much more than playing. A systematic approach and proper communication is necessary to teach.

Thanks. This wasn't my best rendition. I wanted to do a lot more, but this was a quick run. I've been playing it for years. I'm aware that certain passing chords really make the song "pop," but I chose to play a basic rendition. It's a pretty straightforward tune. There were nice changes in the Ron Winans Family and Friends IV version, compared to Donnie's studio original. I know a lot of cats out there are capable of bringing fresh flavor to this one. I've covered several tunes on my channel. Feel free to check them out. 🙂

I wish I could. Teaching a song on KZbin is a lot different than showing friends, simply because I play by ear. Doing KZbin tutorials require effective communication and being concise. It would take too long to explain what a musically trained individual could do in little time. There should be tutorials out there. I'll check and see.

@@Goldwinger74 Keep pushing. I started fooling around on the keys years ago. Mentors came along to help me. Always be teachable. Experience is the best teacher, both good and bad.
