How many tools on average do you lose in your tool bag...

I have at least 6 of every tool because I can never find the tool when I'm doing a job, and then I end up buying it again!

A brand thats really worth checking out is PB Swiss. I have used one during an internship, I asked the guy about it bcs I had never seen one of these. He said that it was his favorite screwdriver 😂 he has had it for 15y. It was a small 2mm wide one that had seen a lot of use but the tip was still in great shape! It was a company that builds and installs sensor packages to collect data on machinery for predictive maintenance. From steel mills to railway bridges, wind farms and facilities where they make gravel. Some really savage and varied working environments on a daily basis. I bought a set of their non insulated drivers, they are indeed very sturdy, extremely well made and perfectly finished. Every single driver has a serial number so they can trace the batch of steel they were made from, in case there is a manufacturing defect. They don’t f*ck around with the quality of their products.

Love my wera set, I've got a red and sky blue edition. They're great, what I love is the slotted sizes have that 3.5mm size which is perfect for dimmer modules. Only downside is they don't have the slim tip, however I use the specific slotted/pozi head for rcbos.

Yeah I got those as well with lasertip! And they're stainless steel :)

Unless you are working on stainless its not worth it. They are more expensive and will wear out faster bcs they are not as hard as regular screwdrivers.

ITL are the dog's bollocks. The Nylon 55 insulation they use is far more durable than anything else on the market, including Boddington's tools.

Wera missed a trick with Thier "Take it Easy" toolfinder system. They should've saved the different handle colours to decern between drive (Philips, pozi, flat, hex, Torx). They're not exactly consistent with the existing TIe system; look at a ToolcheckPlus and you'll see no collars to defer between drives. Shame really.
@claudyfocan731 Жыл бұрын
Indeed, the markings on the top will rub off over time as well. PB Swiss uses a colored cap, you can spot the type of driver from 15m away if ur familiar with the colors. It won’t rub off either as its solid plastic and not just some paint 🤷♂️
