In 2019, four women set out to stand up paddleboard around Baa Atoll in the Maldives, highlighting the positive solutions to plastic pollution, and helping to spread the word on turtle and ocean conservation. The team visited schools, local islands and resorts, paddling 100km through scorching temperatures, crystal clear azure ocean and phenomenal wildlife. This short feel-good film documents the expedition, and includes insight into the plastic pollution and ghost gear crises, and the captivating animals of the Indian Ocean.
Special thanks to Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu for providing a support boat and crew to enable the expedition to happen, and for all their hard work in protecting their local environment and wildlife.
