MB in my opinion the song I wanna know what love is, was a watershed in Gabriel's renditions. It was the first time Gabriel reached the sky with his high notes. I think you should react to that, on the other hand he has recorded other beautiful songs: I BELIEVE IN YOU AND ME (whitney houston cover), STONE COLD ( Demi Lovato's cover) and of course THIS IS ME other collaboration between Gabriel and Jade. In portuguese there's a version from the song (OCEANOS) OCEANS by Hillsong where Gabriel sings with his friend Pedro Henrique in a mesmerising rendition.

What’s unique about his singing is all the different sounds he makes going high and low and twisting his words, and each word is a phenomenon in itself because of his use, you don’t want to turn away because your afraid your going to miss something and the expressions when he sings says it all. Verdade. Essas duas músicas possuem uma letra impactante. São canções cristãs, de louvor, e, quando Gabriel canta em louvor, na minha opinião, o espetacular vira surreal, por conta da emoção que ele naturalmente passa. Sugiro baixar a letra e fazer a tradução antes de escutar as músicas cantadas em português, assim poderá acompanhar a dinâmica da música e treinar o português (você está indo muito bem!☺) Truth. These two songs have striking lyrics. They are Christian songs of praise, and when Gabriel sings in praise, in my opinion, the spectacular becomes surreal, because of the emotion he naturally experiences. I suggest downloading the lyrics and translating them before listening to the songs sung in Portuguese, so you can follow the dynamics of the song and practice Portuguese (you're doing great!☺)

The Portuguese language does not facilitates some of the vocal techniques that are so appreciated in the English language, although we also appreciate it. It's a simple matter of the language not favoring. It is not so simple to use them in Portuguese. I particularly prefer in English.
