Just completed this route but in 4 steps as I’m new to boarding. It’s amazing watching the river change and then the seals at the end. Probably the best choice for my first river paddle. Great vid

I’m a newbie to SUP I’m always at Grove Ferry practising when I get better and stronger I’d like to try this thanks for sharing ✌️

Great video, thank you. So did you set off before high tide then did the tide assist you out of sandwich?

Yes, we planned it so we set off a bit before high tide, there is a big lag though, we had flow downstream to Grove Ferry, then the tide against us for two hours, then after that it sucked us out towards Pegwell. You can check the tide times at Grove Ferry and Plucks Gutter which should help with planning.
