The “Standard” Compton was the close coupled tank version of the Modernus. Both models were meant to be cheap while supplying a good enough flush to get the job done. These days, the Compton and Modernus are some of the most popular toilets among collectors despite their humble beginnings. This toilet was made in 1952
This video concludes the first round of flush tests on the “Standard” Compton
Blue Microfiber Cloth: This is the largest but also the softest cloth that I use in my flush tests. It shows a toilets ability to flush a lot of bulk
Red Washcloth: This cloth is medium sized but it’s also more rigid than the blue one. This test shows a toilets ability to pull or push items into the trapway while also still being large enough to block a toilet with a very restrictive trapway
Pink Washcloth: This cloth is the smallest one and it has medium stiffness. This test represents more of a normal use case
