I use kagero, link joker and shadow paladin.Once i played at a shop tournament, i used kagero.But when i used the end to stand twice, my opponent used 3 perfect guards for the three attacks so i basically started raging like crazy

As soon as they place 2 cards to guard for dekat's skill, they already fulfilled dekat's guard requirement even if one of the cards was retired by griffin.

Hello, I'm thinking of building standard pure Overlords post V-EB07 focusing only on the two VRs, mainly focusing on the Great with DOTE just as a potential first ride or super late finisher. I do understand that I lose out on some earlier pressure from the original Overlord, but I feel that these two grade 3s would give more consistent late game rides. That said, I've come up with two lists, one focused on Full Armored Buster as the grade 2 ride and another with Berserk Dragon. Want to get some thoughts on which among the lists you think is better overall and if there are any changes needed. Thanks in advance! ----- List 1: - 4 Overlord the End - 4 Overlord the Great - 4 Full Armored Buster - 4 Neoflame - 3 Spillover (for soul) - 4 Aermo - 4 Sabel - 3 Gaias (also just for more soul) - 3 Kimnara - 1 Starter, 4 Draw PG, 8 Crit, 4 Heal ----- List 2: - 4 Overlord the End - 4 Overlord the Great - 4 Berserk Dragon - 4 Neoflame - 4 Burnout - 4 Aermo - 4 Sabel - 3 Reas (since she makes Neoflame hit for 13k or 23k respecitvely) - 2 Kimnara - 1 Starter, 4 Draw PG, 8 Crit, 4 Heal

I'm not a kagero expert, but in my opinion between the 2 I feel the first might be the best. Tough I'm not big on using the great and the end in the same deck, because in my opinion it has some downsides 1)the end is already piece reliant, trying to mix in the great, another piece reliant card could end up in bricks, especially against very fast aggressive decks (gold paladin for example) 2)neoflame is a necessity for the great to work properly, but it doesn't do much with the end. Also, it takes up g2 slots, meaning you either sacrifice dakat, or armor buster (spillover IMO is a necessity because of soul) 3)you have a lot less aggression early game, and both overlords work one at it's best, the other at all, only when you already have an overlord in soul. Ask my messiahs if you really want a g3 that only works if rode for second in this current format 4)I believe that the great works best with force 1 markers, while the end prefers force 2 markers because of the aggression it can provide when rode first (I assume you want to ride him first because the great isn't a first ride target) Also, I think that the g1 department could use some work, try including griffins. That card gives insane pressure. Calamity tower is also pretty good, but more replaceable if you want to experiment than griffin IMO. But as I said, I'm not a kagero expert, so I'm sure there are way more qualified people than me to ask.

Don't first ride The End. Really, don't, you waste cards for getting a restand with Force I and It's bad. The End can be ran at 2 since it can fullfill the finisher slot which can be searched with Armored Buster but aside from that, The End is just not that good with the great since both benefit more with their respective gifts but It can be built. I would run 4 The Great, 3 OG DO and 2 The End for that kind of build but that's it.

If i can ask for a small bit of ruling help, does The End only word as if you only use both effects once per turn or only 1 effect per turn? It has me a bit confused.

The great likes force on rear guard whereas the end likes it on vanguard

@@Ahmed-DB nope i see end more in force 1 and great force 2 honestly because the think with the end you will keep his power high you dont neat the crit because you can atack 3 with increased power it is better gives more pressure then a single atack the reason for the great he forces on multiple atack the key here is from the rrearguard as well more pressure if you give the rear guard and the vanguard especally neoflame crit it does some huge dmg but i thinki would play both because the end and the great works beatufully in force 1 and maybe in force but i am not relly sure about that

dragullong blackfang you have a 10k neoflame that’s restand won’t matter if you don’t have force one on it and the end swinging 3 times with + a Crit every time if you have force 2. So it’s pretty obvious that the end is fore 2 favorable and the great is force 1 favorable.

From all my playtesting, I'd say The Great, but both have their own playstyle and i prefer the great more

YES because both mate and leader are on the vanguard circle annd can activate their vanguard skills

No you don't get a force marker with legion as you need to ride the unit to gain a marker

Yes!! but I wil take some more time, because I want to make them feel unique and not just your typical run of the mill place camera, record and upload match videos. We're currently working on it and I hope before the summer ends we get some new cardfight action on the channel

Nice video but 7:00 Pretty sure that's not how it works. The skill makes them call 2, even if one is retired, they fullfilled the skill and called 2 no need to call more

Thank you^^ concerning the Griffin play: When one is retired they don't need to call more that is correct, But what i was talking about is when they need to guard more because the the amount of guard isn't enough anymore they need to call once again 2 cards to the guardian circle instead of 1.

To add to Vanguard Insiders comment, Musashi type skills change rule 7.5.1.2.2 so that you can place more than 1 guardian at the same time before the first check timing. This means Red Dive can retire one of the 2+ guardians to make the shield too low, and then when the guard cycle starts over again and rule 7.5.1.2.2 comes around, they must guard with 2 or more cards again to meet Dekkats conditions.

The End is one of the better designed cards lore-wise. Kai's whole theme is "Loneliness is strength", The End tries to do everything by himself.

I think the end is really good but its really risky I think he'll be better from your fifth turn onward and dragonic overlord is the ideal first grade 3 ride but if need be you can ride the end first but you'll probably want to not use his skill in that scenario as if you do you'll probably be in a 🥒 for hand size

I love the end as a first ride and hes even good as a second grade 3 ride but my build would focus on riding him first and then using the great. If i built a the end only deck id like to try the lava dragon combo for powerful restanding rear guards to multi attack a ton.

Also it depends because I think that in certain matches The End will be better than The Great and Visa Versa.

I like the approach I would say go for Gias you don't have that much retire skills and gias can give you an extra soul and added vanguard/rear-guard presure on demand. I however advise to maybe swap burnout for Full buster to increase consistency and some control to which DO you go aswell as perserving some CB as seen as you go fot Sabel instead of Aermo

I still think that The Great is better than The End. The End is awesome in Premium mode, with The X as LEGION. But on Standard The Great is better.
