A very late post but I took my road spec disco 2 out green laning and I thought for sure I was going to get stuck but it just ploughed on through it all ,well impressed

This seems way more hardcore to me. It's one thing if you have full lockers and big tires. This is pure stock wheeling on bad tires. Well done!

Stock DII, no CDL and street tyres, doing well. Add some all terrains, even on 18"s and retro fit the CDL, sorted. Having owned a number of Land Rovers the DII in stock form has proved the most capable with the right tyres.

It would have been brilliant with some proper tyres on it. Can't imagine why you wouldn't put some on for this type of event. Get some spare wheels and A/T or M/T for the winter/ off roading. Car for all seasons.

Good to see somebody who knows how to get the best out of the traction control on the discovery 2... is it got the CDL? Absolutely madness why Land Rover removed it’s on the disco 2s and then offering it as an extra, it probably cost them more to remove it from the box and to make a different lever!
@RobGamage4 жыл бұрын
No cdl ,just traction control and a right foot !! 😀

Apparently they didn't remove it from the box or at least that's what I saw on a video about them
@PillSharks4 жыл бұрын
Jonathan Nicholson the very early ones still had the CDL inside so all you needed was the lever and linkage, around 2001 they removed it from the inside totally unfortunately, you can check this by putting your hand on top the transfer box and check to see if it has the arm fitted! Mines a mid 2001 and it’s removed

You can still lock the CD manually even if it hasn't got the selection just remove the rubber around the gear stick and pull the lever back and it locks the CD
@RobGamage3 жыл бұрын
Nope , hasn't even got it on the Transfer box

@@RobGamage on mine it as I just fitted a cable connection to CD and it locks the CD,
