Jesus, I passed my NREMT through the military and their course was 7 weeks long. I thought that was a super quick course but now these people are doing it in little less than 3 weeks. Kudos to them its not an easy course.

Fun Fact: In Norway EMT Edukation is a 4 Years Full Time Edukation :-) To call yoursel a PMT upp here, you must be an EMT, with atleast 2 years full time on the job, before you apply for the 3 years, full time Ed., at Oslo Universety. Wow, that seems awfully quick. Where I come from, basic is 2 years in college. Which includes classroom, hospital rotations, and 400 hours of ride outs.

EMT-B only requires 120 hours of training. Next up is the Advance EMT which has around 500 hours and Paramedic has 1000 plus hours.

We do not use the term EMT. We (Ontario, Canada) have 3 levels of Paramedic. Primary Care Paramedic; Advanced Care Paramedic & Critical Care Paramedic. PCP - as stated above. This is our minimum to work an ambulance. ACP: PCP + 1 year (classroom, OR & ER, 484 hrs precepting, 484 hrs consolidation) Consolidation means that you must work with another ACP. CCP: ACP + pretty much another year of training.

I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else trying to find out emt practice exams try Debuncar Medic Study Aid (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my neighbor got amazing results with it.
